Stephanie Low

My day is better when I wake up to see this :)

*Spoiler alert* I understand what Vitaly went through was utterly tragic and incomprehensible, but it really bugs me that he still isn't sorry for Peter Nielsen's death. I'm disgusted with his and his supporters' attitude. Him and his supporters should be ashamed of themselves. Sick. Anyway a BRILLIANT episode, please do more episodes like this :) x

Brenda Wells

Wow. Mixed feelings on this one unlike most Casefile episodes. Such blurred lines between good and bad. I felt for Vitaly, but I don’t believe he went to Nielsen’s house to do anything other than murder him. Heartbreaking story; well told as usual.

Maya George

I wouldn’t say I’m ‘into’ hearing about air crashes generally because well, I have my own fears around them. But this story and the way it was told had me on the metaphorical edge of my seat. This story is a perfect storm of tragedy and the way it was all woven together was fantastic. I love stories like these that show you the line between simple concepts like ‘good’ and ‘bad’ is not always obvious. Even though I want to sit here and say Vitaly was the worst, I find myself asking the question ‘was he??’ In part and at times, I don’t think he was. There’s so much in this case. Thankyou for bringing it to us ❤️

Carmel O'Dwyer

Well done on another super case! I must be living under a rock, as I had never heard of this before ! Brenda Wells mentioned about that the line between rich and wrong can be so blurred and this is very true. I doubt Vitaly cares about anything anymore. Excellent story, narration and writing. You guys trust your audience and keep personal feelings aside. Thank you :)

Rachael Collier

The pearl necklace gets me! 😭

Blair Doherty

I've gotta say, the most shocking part of this story isn't the crash, nor the murder, not even Vitaly's sentence. It's the fact he was fully embraced by his home country's people and government as a hero, and went on to have a very successful life because of this. Insane. Thanks for the episode all, was a great change of pace.

Casefile

Thank you all very much for your comments. It means a lot to us.

Adam Murphy

Fuck brother this is top shelf!!!!! Milly you are dead set killing it too dude!!!!!!!

Jake Walker

Different from the usual cases, but completely amazing in its own right. The amount of research that's gone into this one is astounding. Seems as if the information provided wasn't as well distributed elsewhere though, a quick bit of my own looking into the crash shows a whole lot of blame on the Russian pilots.

Rikki Jensen

This was a fantastic episode. It held onto me for days. And I echo the sentiments from others regarding good vs bad. Things are never black and white, and humans are unbelievably complex. You all did an amazing job expressing that. My feelings were all over the place. Thank you for this thought provoking, well researched, and beautifully produced episode.

Juanita

I truly appreciate the indepth, and unbiased portrayal of this case. Every aspect was outstanding. It reminded me that life is a hell of a bumpy ride at times, and you never know which stone in the road will alter your path or how. Thank you for yet another thought provoking and excellently researched quality production.
