The Glendale train crash was familiar to me, I must have heard it on another true crime podcast but as usual your presentation is excellent. I was saddened to hear that the metro link train operator was blamed for reaction times of a few seconds error. It seems the victims were just lashing out. The obvious perp Juan Manuel was the cause. Has the operator ever spoken publicly about it?

For Janet Chandler Did you speak to the documentary makers or the teacher who commissioned the documentary in the Janet Chandler case? From the way the episode was written it sounded like that was a key part of the case, even from the the way the episode started. It’s just such a disgusting crime with so many people involved I couldn’t believe it listening to it. I felt sick. For the Bob Chappell What are the team’s opinions on what happened? The way the episode was written in the first half it was just so obvious it was Sue with her almost laughably inconsistent story but by the end I was so torn between the 2 versions of the story. Was also very interesting Lindy Chamberlain’s lawyer said Sue was innocent

Moira's case was just all around horrible. When you thought it couldn't get worse, it kept getting worse, the strength of the daughter of the most likely perpetrator! Also the whole "we all know shit is happening, but we have a code of silence" is sick. Do anyone on the team think if this wasn't so ingrained in society at the time, less people would have been hurt by this man? Bc it also really did not help that police were too busy blaming those with cognitive disorders instead of the "more upstanding citizens" even when they obviously were known for their reputation. How did the team feel working on this case? I'd need decades of therapy if I were researching such a frustrating case, when the perp is RIGHT THERE but police cba until it was too late and the OG police hadn't even written his name down... I'm sorry the bombarding of Q's that probably have no point to them, I just absolutely felt revolted by that case because we all know this is not the only case like this. And how society is more focused on status quo than actually catching the killer of a little kid is sick.

Hi team, I am not sure this is the most appropriate place to ask but I hope this is ok: I have just finished The Detective’s Dilemma and I have to outstanding questions - firstly, do we know how/why Sian got into Halliwell’s car? Her destination was within walking distance, after all. Secondly, it’s briefly mentioned that Halliwell confesses to the doctor upon arrest. This is never mentioned again. Did this confession not have weight?

Hi team. Despite living relatively close to Coatbridge, I hadn’t heard of the Moira Anderson case, perhaps because of how long ago it was. It certainly doesn’t seem to be as high profile a case in Scotland as others around that time, such as the crimes of Peter Manuel who was linked in the episode. I was just wondering how you found out about the case and why you decided to cover it? Thanks!

I also wanted to thank you- Casefile in its many forms is the absolutely highlight of every week. I’ve been listening since the very beginning and I look forward to it each time :)

I am 33, so may be older than you, but this is one of the most infamous unsolved cases in Scotland. The Moira Anderson Foundation is one of the most well known charities in Lanarkshire. I know a lot about this case and Sandra Brown, but this may not be the the best place to discuss them 👀

I have done research that shows Alexander Gartshore may have been part of a peadophile ring. Did you come across this in your research and do you think the suggestions are credible?
