For 21-year-old British student Meredith Kercher, spending a year studying in Italy was a dream come true. But within months of arriving to the medieval town of Perugia, that dream quickly turned to a nightmare. What unraveled next was one of the most polarising murder cases in Italy’s history, with one young American woman at the centre of it all - 22-year-old Amanda Knox.

Next 2 hours sorted. Welcome back guys!

Keiran Curry

And now I can sleep again. This is my bedtime listening. Live your work.

Iain Strachan

Nearly 2.5 hours. Yes! ❤️

Iain Strachan

One thing, though. Why are non-patrons getting this at the same time as patrons? Is this the way it's going to be from now on?

Annie G

2 and a half hours?! Is it sad to admit that this is my idea of Saturday night bliss? So glad you're back! 🩷

Annie G

I can finally face doing the housework for the next few hours 😂

RubySpook

And this is my evening sorted! What a treat 🤩

Kourtney

This is getting me through work right now!!

Parrots Liz

I’m so happy right now 🥲 - missed new episodes xxx

Casefile

We always do that after the summer and winter breaks, so the new seasons start at the same time for everyone. There may be something extra for Patreon later today too though...

Sarah X

Thank you and welcome back team. Hoping you all enjoyed your well earned break ❤️

Carla Obee

Welcome back! Thank you for the extra long episode. Poor Meridith, this one really makes me sad.

SalBee

Poor Meredith, and her family. What they've been through :( .

AR

Welcome back!!

K. Smith

Y'all have made this cold, snowy New Mexico morning so much better 💛

Aly F.

Thank you for keeping the focus on Meredith. Often she gets lost in coverage of this case because the focus becomes all about Amanda Knox.

Demi

You guys came out swinging with this one! Welcome back, Casefile!

Lisa Davies

Great to have you back and with such an interesting episode, definitely learnt some new info about the case and appreciated the focus on Meredith.

Jess Ashlee

Loved this case. Thanks for always hitting a home run!

Monica

My heart breaks for Meredith. She sounds like a wonderful woman who should’ve lived a long and full life. It’s just so senseless. I hope her parents and her are reunited in Heaven.

AR

This was so well done, but i did lol at "exuberant legal fees." 😂 Exorbitant, definitely, but as we all know, the law is very rarely exuberant!

Lauren M

Welcome back Casefile team! I thought I already knew a lot about this case but Casefile has - as always - added another level of detail and nuance. Thank you for centring Meredith throughout the episode - she is far too often lost when this case is covered.

Jackson

Welcome back Casefile Team - oh how I’ve missed you!

Katy Turley

Soooo good. I mmmmiiiisssssseeedddd you!

Rosemary Cosgrove

Rudy Guede served only 13 years of his sentence. There is no mystery as to what happened to Meredith. Her murderer is free to hurt other women.

Amber Craig

Wow!!! This was such a great, very confronting episode you put together. Appreciate and love what you all do ♥️

Marti Gotsov

Back with a bang! Amazing work as always, thank you team !

Megan Brennan

Love when Casefile covers cases that have been covered by others and it’s so much better! 💜💜

Leah Budd

Wow! What a comeback! Excellent job on this one, just when you think there's nothing more you could know about a case, CaseFile proves you wrong! So nice to have y'all back!

Mandy G

You guys always manage to provide so much more information about cases I thought I already knew everything about. I didn't realize both Meredith's parents had passed since her murder. I feel so terribly for that family.

fiona liston

I’ve listened to this twice now and to think Amanda has just gone on with life is unbelievable. They both know more than they’re saying. The only solace I took from this was knowing Merrideth is now with her parents. Welcome back, as always brilliant and riveting listening.
