Who's hyped for Arcane Season 2? Me.

Did you know there's still three moments in Season 1 that TO THIS DAY bring tears to my eyes any time I even think about them? And I think it only makes it worse for me, not better, any time I rewatch the series. That's how great it is. At least to my mind.

Speaking of things that aren't even remotely reality... I gave you all those incredible options and you guys are picking SNOWBALL? FRIKKING SNOWBALL? I told you to pick correctly! Look, I'll give you some more time, go here and change your vote to the CORRECT choice.

(I'm kidding of course, vote for whoever you like, and I WILL draw the winner. These polls are still super fun for me, and Snowball wouldn't have been on the list if I didn't want to draw him. But he's basically Kiva's NEMESIS. Shame on you!)

So this weekend I had all the time in the world that I needed in order to draw, but instead of that, I binged super hard on the God Slayers TTRPG system until I just mysteriously ran out of weekend. It's currently sitting at about 161 pages, and after several revisions and system redesigns, I think it's ready for me to start on the second draft. My creativity does continue to be fickle of late.

I think I floated the idea before, but what I want to do soon (like this week or next week) is begin sharing sections of the TTRPG rulebook with our Trader tier patrons and above. My intention is to keep it Patreon exclusive for the foreseeable future, as I gather feedback and refine its systems to really try and hone in on what most people think is "fun" about it (if anything). The tier requirement is mostly so I can start sharing it with more people without putting it out there to everyone. It's still quite rough, in its current state, and while I'm narrowing down what it probably should be, ultimately, I'm still quite flexible and not yet opposed to throwing things out entirely. My worry is that if I show it to too many people, too early, they might judge it by its roughness and disregard it altogether.

I also worry about undervaluing all the work I've put into it. While I don't intend to print it, there may be a day where it's actually worth selling as a pdf or something. Once I've shared it with some of you and gotten more feedback, once I have more confidence in the systems and game mechanics I've built, I'll have a better idea of whether or not I'm just fucking crazy. (I definitely am, but at least then other people would know that too!)

Comic this week? I won't get it done by Wednesday, that much I can say for sure. You can blame Snake. Let's all blame Snake for EVERYTHING. I may need to consider that Wednesdays just don't work as well for me any more, given my current life rhythm. I will try to get a comic out Thursday or Friday, and then maybe reevaluate if I should perhaps permanently shift my post schedule to one of those days. I dunno yet! Feel free to weigh in with your preference!

Do I want to rant about censorship today and how I think the approach we typically take to it is so very wrong and stupid? Yeah kinda! But I also need to get cracking on art and get some of that TTRPG stuff I promised y'all ready to share soon. And ranting about something I have no power to change doesn't sound quite as fun as either one of those things.
