of course she is highly important to the story. Her wanting to get Lug to "ravage" her like a wild beast is the whole reason timid Stephan has become this fun crazed pup under Carlo's tuteladge cause she arranged it so Stephan would be cut off from Lug. And she is currently scheming to do the same to poor Theo. Only Theo is more settled and has seen what happened to his half brother. Still wanting to know what the Matriarch will say once it is uncovered why Stephan has fallen and starts to become a disgrace as she so elquently put it.
