NOEASY era was genuinley one of the best times I've ever spent stanning Kpop, like the content, songs, promotions EVERYTHING even down to the happiness of the members was so amazing, this was also the era that hyunjin came back from hiatus. the mixtape OH video came out of nowhere and everyone was hoping that hyunjin would be there and he was 😭 literally every reaction to video to this mv was people just SOBBING cos we genuinely didn't know if he'd come back. and right after the mv dropped, jyp released a statement saying that he would continue promotions the month after. I remember this time so clearly cos literally EVERYONE was so incredibly happy that he was back , even non-fans, because he had done literally nothing wrong in the slightest (seunghan you're next) and all the allegations were proven false so long ago but jyp just didn't say a word abt ANYTHING for like 6 months. insane. anyways noeasy is unanimously considered the best skz era for 99.9% of stays :)

Actually, MIXTAPE:OH is a very important song in every sense because it was Hyunjin's first comeback after taking a break during the Kingdom period and it was released as a pre-release before this album was released and we saw Hyunjin for the first time after about 1 year....

Mixtape OH is a very meaningful video to stay beacause Hyunjin was in hiatus for 6 monts something like that and without warning us they dropped this and it announced to us his return :') more than it being linked to On track it has a such a deep place in our hearts

Also idk if anyone mentioned but Drive was originally a “SKZ-Record” that they released only on YouTube in 2021. The SKZ Replay album is a special album that’s a collection of new solos by each member and previous SKZ-Records that had already been released on YouTube.

I'm not sure if someone else already said it but SKZ has very complicated lore that happened after this. The view is sorta tied to it as well. I'm not sure about the details but The View is seen as a sort of happy ending or what Felix wished to happen when he blew the candle out. It's kind of left to interpretation. Other videos later on which does include a movie-like video titled: "SKZFLIX" which was part of their RockStar era. Highly recommend you guys watch it later to understand a bit more lore. Honestly, I'm out here confused but still enjoying every piece of lore they've been feeding us.🥹👍

Im terrible, this has daily been on my third screen (with headphones) while I work LMAO. I work with physicians (behind the scenes) and literally they always ask me what am I watching when I have this up. It takes me more than the video time to watch/listen though because of the constant pausing when I have to focus Lolol. Thank goodness for ADHD though, multi tasking with this as my distraction is pretty easy ha.

Scream louder for those who loves long reaction videos! 🙌🏻Thank you for this sweeties! I wish you guys dissected more on Red Lights LOL. Like, since its about 'obsession' (can be with a person or activities or anything) it's a push and pull kinda vibe between the two so I noticed it after watching again that they mirrored each other not only when dancing but also when sitting on dinner table. And how at first it was Chan holding the chain over hyunjin but in the end oit was hyunjin taking control of Chan (by trying holding his neck). I was kinda late joining the wagon but it was hyunjin that brought me to skz, so knowing the behind the story of Mixtape OH and how it was a moment of revelation of hyunjin comeback after his hiatus made the song hit me differently. I mean, I cannot imagine seeing all the performances of them without hyunjin back then, especially not knowing whether he would be back or not. Like the eyes of Ozlem always running to Lee Know (hihi), my eyes always running to hyunjin every time they perform. I wonder will you watch the performance of Wolfgang played in Kingdom? If you gonna do it, I noticed one comment saying that in the eps 10 of Kingdom series when hyunjin was not a part of it (since it was still on hyunjin's hiatus period), Chan was screaming 'hyunjin!' when it was supposed to be hyunjin's part (performed by Han instead). I don't know whether I'm hearing things or not, but it seemed that its true, I heard that Chan did scream his name. Also 'the 1 spot left empty' when nearing the end of the song all members riding on backing dancers' back, indicating that one empty spot was hyunjin's spot..oh my heart can't take the love they have for one another ♥️

So, about the "SKZ record/player" you may have some confusion... originally the boys usually release song projects alone or in combination with some members on YouTube (at any time of the year just for the fun of it) but not officially on all streaming platforms, so after a while they wanted to compile all those songs released on YouTube, putting them together in an album and adding some new songs! So the album "SKZ replay" emerged... and then they continue releasing others songs on YouTube that have not yet been compiled into another album, but it is rumored that we will have another one soon... Another thing is that those titled "SKZ RECORD" are only audio and the "SKZ PLAYER" are videos, where there are not only songs but also dance projects... I hope it is understood but in conclusion they compile several previously released songs in one album and that is why the dates may seem strange in some cases

Love the super long video - this era definitely deserved it! The View is one of my all time SKZ favourites. Just gotta say, people getting mad over comments alluding to queerness is certainly a choice. Not assuming someone's sexuality doesn't mean defaulting to straight and excluding any other possibility. And recognising the obvious queer coding in Red Lights just means having a functioning set of eyes lol.

If you're interested in musical analyses of skz and other kpop songs I must recommend Classical Musicians React (maybe you've heard of them??)! They're not producers per se but they break down the music in such a fun way and explain why it hits so hard. The girl who runs the channel has also interviewed some actual kpop producers about writing songs (like Talk that Talk by Twice!) and it's pretty interesting. they don't cover everything, but it's really fun if you haven't watched the channel :) Also thanks for this series! It's soooo fun falling in love with skz again with you both <3

if you guys are making a list of b sides Domino is a fandom favorite. it was never a single but it was such a fan favorite, they made a dance practice and they even have a few live stages. IMO one of the best dance practices from them. (also i know its late but the I Am You is one of my favorite dance practices too)

Thank you soooo much for this long video. I loved every single last second of it. I knew of skz, I remember when Hellevator dropped (I was an igot7 at the time and a hottest. So im primed to be a jype boy group stan) and I looked up their ages after watching and finding out that I was over a decade older than Jeongin freaked me out lol. He was a literal baby at the time and I could not deal. I really started to take interest in them when gods menu dropped (mostly in Hyunjin. Hes truthfully one of the most gorgeous men I've ever laid eyes on) but I continued to like this very surface level. When red lights dropped I lost my mind. Because you ladies are right "how can stay be so calm about this?" I freaked out and watched it too many times to be considered healthy. But I still stayed quite about my like of skz, until Manic dropped. I binged EVERYTHING from start finish. I think by the time October rolled around I had consumed every single last piece of content i could get my hands on lol. I said all of that to say, "Welcome to the fandom!!" I hope you enjoy the ride because you are most definitely in for one. Lol (side note: if you think skz stays loosing, wait until you get more into the han pop side of things.)
