Hobi’s whole history and origin with dance started with hip hop. That’s why his solo projects draw so much from old school hip hop (JITB was a loooot of boombap) bc that was the type of music he first started dancing to. Then when he got to Big Hit, it was all rappers as BTS was still meant to be a hip hop group at the time. Like that one twitch comment said, you can see his background in dance shine in his rapping through his flow, cadence, and diction. Just abt every time he raps I can just visualize how his body would be moving with his words. If you pay close enough attention, you’ll also realize, Hobi’s flow is damn near exactly how he dances (look at his hope on the street content, he specializes in popping and very free flowing hip hop freestyle). As fans we don’t see hobi truly blossom as a rapper until this album (skool luv affair) and then he truly exploded from love yourself era on (think mic drop, ugh, outro:tear, ddaeng, etc). The man’s growth as a rapper has been phenomenal to witness. (Sorry for the essay, I started rambling 💀)

Esosa don’t let ARMYs start telling you abt 2018. Boy we’ve been through hell for BTS before then but you’ve never experienced as much vitriol as BTS and ARMY did that year. Whew giving me war flash backs 😂😂 but it was for the tannies so I wouldn’t have it any other way

I think what you'll notice as you go through these albums is that jhope has a lot of iconic parts, especially in their bsides and its because he really brings a different feel to the song with his input for the song and the flow and cadence he brings and the beat changes accordingly which are always refreshing to hear. You can hear this even up to current-day bts. for example the song Run bts, jhopes part is the most different from the rest of the song and he brings something different just like the songs in this album.
