π―π΅ Finally, Mirai Store Tokyo (Patreon)
Content
I was finally able to take a trip to Tokyo and visit the Smart Doll store! We spend over 2 hours there taking a trip through the whole facility including some super secret stuff!
I was able to take some shots of the girls downstairs, which I'm incliding here, and brought back a few things: black navy without cyber lines, which I was really hoping for, and since it was a request I was able to get it with a blank head! Alex already has some mlp-plans for her.
The second thing was a total surprise. We were looking at some old boys and Danny went 'I'm not sure why we're keeping it. Do you want it?
And I was like:
And so, David has now come into my possession π
he was made as an April's Fools joke last year. I think we might give him a life as a Hazbin Hotel character as I think they gave that pale gray skin tone (David is painted, not the regular gray SmD vinyl color).
I was swooning over the Mecha kitty as well so I got to take home a smol version too! I learned that the one they made doesn't actually fit the girls as is, but would need to be around 120cm (for those used to imperial units that is equivalent to 'quite big') so the one Danny posted was a lie and only parts of the girls were stuck inside.
Overall, that concludes my big doll run in Japan. In Tokyo I have visited Volks, Alone, Doll Up, Dolly Teria and Dolk, but none of them were wow. Though I have to say, Volks displays are always very lovely. Miku might be my favorite!
I didn't go through the Dollfie Dream Choice though - it is a service where you put your favorite dollfie parts together to make a doll. We didn't have the time nor do I love them so much to do it. I thought maybe one of the dolls available for purchase would speak to me but nah. I saw Anthy in the display and thought that one is good enough for now!
In a little over a week I am flying back home π₯² I am eager to start working on dolls again though. We are going to London Film and Comic con in July btw. Anyone from Europe attending?
