This is the first time I tried to take self-portraits with the full moon. I've waited till 11 pm for the moon to appear on the skyline. It was really cloudy that day and I was affraid I won't be able to take anything but luckily the moon showed me his pinkish face for a couple of minutes. I was able to take only a few photos and trust me - it was hard. I had to run back and forth on the top of this sandy hill because I used my 200 mm lens. On top of that the light was changing really fast and I wasn't sure what parameters in my camera I should choose. It was a mess... but I loved every second of it.

At the end I lit up a torch I made a few hours earlier so that I could find my way back home. I always could use a flashlight in my phone but it wouldn't be that fun, wouldn't it? :D

Also this full moon is called a strawaberry moon and it was named by a Native American tribe because it's the season of picking up the strawberries. I prefer the Celtic name, which is the Rose Moon for some reason. I found some more infos about the origins of the strawberry name but that for me was the most legit one. I was also told that the moon has a bit pinkish tint to it and it was true that night.

If you know something more about the Strawberry Moon, please let me know.

Love, Erinthul.
