We finally did it! 🥳🥳 (Patreon)

It's been 120 days since our accident and our already slightly chaotic lives have been flipped upside down. 🫠
Attempting a repair, like we faced, turned out to be more challenging than we'd expected.
Therefore we want to thank each one of you for continuously supporting our journey!
Without you, we could have not succeeded in repairing our dream. 🥰
Initially we thought, we could fix CUBA and still continue to follow our upload routine but the planning and organization, as it turned out was just a small part of the entire process Getting materials and tools on the island can be very difficult and time consuming. And we had no idea how to get around the island just yet. Varadero Shipyard is probably one of the - in a way - remotest areas of the island. Even though it is literally right next to the airport.
As we started the grind, we got worried all the sanding could damage our laptops and hard drives. And we only realized the extend of the repair as we went on. For a few weeks basically every inch of CUBA was taped off and the dust still invaded every corner.
At the same time our inverter decided to capitulate and power surges from shore power, made starlink play up. 🤨
So one cabin was completely reserved as a kitty crew hotel and safe place for electronics.
Whereas the human part of the crew tried to scramble behind the boarded-off half of the front cabin.
Im short, it's been a little tough for us lately to edit and upload content with CUBA being in recovery.
But instead of burying our heads, we pushed through to get our beloved home back into her element again and us back on your screens! 😜
Today we did a quick test run on engine and under sail and continued to de-mess and de-dust below deck. 💪
Guys, she might still be under construction on the inside but seeing her with her new sharp look on the water again, couldn't feel more amazing!
We could have not done this without you - we finally did it!! 💙🤗⛵️🥳🥳🧡
We love you!
