Well this was a DELIGHT!! funny and charming and silly. I love seeing a trope like this that I have seen modernly and how obviously influential the movies that came before it were.

Comments

Lyle Morgan

Thanks for hitting a variety of genres/eras and providing something for all tastes here on PIB.

Clarence Newman

Just refreshed my screen and this popped up. I do love a bit of Marilyn. I had posters, you know. One bit of slightly negative trivia for you. I read once that Tony Curtis "stumbled from a love scene with Marilyn, grumbling 'It's like kissing Hitler!'" First of all, wash your mouth out, Tony. You're talking about the woman I love. And secondly, how do you know what it's like to kiss Hitler?

Ryan Towell

So glad you finally watched this, I've been recommending it off and on for years. I'm so happy now ha. Next time you do a classic film you really should watch "The Court Jester" with Danny Kaye, Angela Lansbury, Glynis Johns (the mom in Mary Poppins). Such a hilarious film, i think it's something you and your sister would just love. "Socks over shoes" ha.. those are called Spatz.. "high rollers" wore them they weren't socks ha. Jack Lemmon seemed to be having a blast playing this role. He cracks me up..

Neil

Tony Curtis did mellow a little with his attitude toward Marilyn. He hated working with her, so did Jack Lemmon but Lemmon blamed the people around her. "Oh make sure Marilyn has this , Marilyn has that" Apparently none of that came from her, it was the crew terrified of upsetting their superstar. Some were lovestruck (like you and me Clarence!!)

shaneth138

Please do The Peanut Butter Falcon for tender November!!

Gábor Árki

Color films surged in popularity during the 1950s, after the development of single-strip color film technology. Previous processes, like Technicolor, required three separate film strips to capture different colors simultaneously, making it not only very expensive but also requiring bulky equipment. Even as single-strip color film caught on, it remained more costly to use, and sometimes filmmakers kept using black and white for artistic reasons. I've heard once that in case of SOME LIKE IT HOT, they opted for shooting it in black and white because the makeup Curtis and Lemmon had to wear simply looked unnatural an unconvincing in color.

Ben Livingstone

It's always such a thrill when you react to pre-1970 movies!

Clarence Newman

I am indeed, but this is not the best Marilyn movie to showcase why. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes next, Cassie!

Jacob King

Part of the problem was Paula Strasberg, her ultra-controlling acting coach, who would disrupt scenes so Marilyn could do another take. I think there was also an element of Wilder not taking Marylin seriously as an actress. Also, you know, pills.

Choof

Josephine is Jaime Lee Curtis's father and Dafne is Jack Lemmon from Grumpy/Grumpier Old Men, he plays John the one who got married in Grumpy Old Men

Clarence Newman

And, by the way, if you want to see Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in an even more enjoyable film, "The Great Race" is the very one.

Mike LL

There is real historical background to this movie's premise. There was an actual killing of seven mob members in a Chicago garage on Valentine's Day, 1929. They were lined up against a wall just like in this movie. There was a movie made later based on the event The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (1967). Billy Wilder just used the horrific event as comedic inspiration.

bgb1975

YES! Cassie...in the words of Ted....Listen to this guy Clarence, he knows what he's talking about!

Scott Macaulay

Looking forward to this one. I became a Marilyn Monroe fan recently after watching Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I had seen her my Whole life on gift shop items and parody, but it was the first time actually watching her in a movie and I suddenly got it. She was mesmerizing!

Dan M

There are several reasons why this movie was named as the top American comedy film of all time by the American Film Institute. But the standout reason for me is Jack Lemmon. I would rank him along side Danny Kaye, Jerry Lewis, and Bob Hope as one of the funniest comedic actors of his generation. Can’t wait to see your reaction to his performance.

Dan M

Happy Veteran’s Day to all of our former service men and women! Thank you for your service!

Scott Macaulay

Happy Veteran's Day to my fellow Vets and active service members out there!

Wes

Another classic I get to watch for the first time with Cassie 😁

Mike LL

Yes, she finally sees Jaime Lee Curtis' dad, Tony Curtis, in this movie after seeing her mom years ago (Janet Leigh, the Shower Girl from Psycho. Oops, was that still a spoiler for anyone? Sorrrrry! :) )

Matt Rose

Yes!!!! Glad you enjoyed it!

Clarence Newman

Anyone who doesn't like The Great Race should be "Banished! Banished!!! Banished!!!"

Clarence Newman

Tell me you've seen The Great Race, Dan. An absolute masterclass of comedy from Jack.

Clarence Newman

I realise that was a joke, Mike, but it's probably worth clarifying. When people say "No Spoilers", it means "Don't spoil the film for Cassie!" No one else on here is protected by the No Spoiler rule, so spoilers AFTER Cassie has watched a film are perfectly legal.

Clarence Newman

Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke, The Dirty Dozen, Sons of Katie Elder, The Graduate, The Great Race, The Hustler....and I'm getting carried away.

Keith Brown

The voice Tony Curtis did as the Shell Oil millionaire you kept wondering about was Tony doing his impersonation of Cary Grant . Tony and Cary did a comedy together called "Operation Petticoat" which you and Carly would both love . The Director of that movie Blake Edwards would team Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in another great comedy called "The Great Race" which both movies have comedy they also have love stories happening while the plots are going on !

Phil Stubblefield

Yes, especially following the month of October, which IMO is *way* too homogeneous across almost all YT reactors!

Clarence Newman

If anyone thinks Marilyn was nothing but eye candy fluff who couldn't act to save her life, I suggest they watch Don't Bother To Knock (1952). The girl had range.

Terry Yelmene

Some may hear that up tempo as hot... some not... but all I can see is the pure charm of this classic... more than that... I claim there are few things are more charming than this SLIH react!

Ted Little

They are "spats." Men used to wear them over their shoes to protect them from spatters.

Ted Little

You have such a longing for a train ride, perhaps you should have a poll for movies that feature trains. Here are a few suggestions. The Lady Vanishes (1938), Lady on a Train (1945), The Palm Beach Story (1942), The General (1927, silent), and I Know Where I'm Going (1945). Thank you for reacting to the good old films.

Terry Yelmene

It's so great to re-join in this fun after missing it for the yearly forced sabbatical in October. It would be nice if that whole horror genre could just be considered 'played out' and the scary-only October reacts tradition be left in the past.

Clarence Newman

As a month-long slog, I agree, guys. But that shouldn't mean an end to scary movies on the channel. Cassie would be able to handle them much easier if they were occasionally dropped into the gen pop.

Joe

This whole October thing is hotly debated. Some of us want Cassie to react to horror films through-out the year, just like any other genre. She doesn't get any more views on YT in October, so I say why bother with it. Who is she doing it for?

Clarence Newman

I'd love to see her watch The General, Ted. Keaton was a genius. The only other good train films I can think of are "A Hard Day's Night" (The Beatles, 1964) and "Silver Streak" (Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, 1977). "Under Siege 2" (Steven Seagal, 1995) is set on a train, but Cassie needs to watch "Under Siege" (1992) first.

bgb1975

As good as "Some Like it Hot" is, I personally think that "The Great Race" runs (drives?) circles around it!

bgb1975

One of my favorite movie quotes for when playing games: "It's my experience, General, that there is little advantage to winning if one wins too easily." - The Great Leslie

Nick Owens

After making this film, Billy Wilder and Jack Lemmon teamed up again the following year for The Apartment (1960), which is considered their masterpiece, and one of the greatest films ever made (it's also my personal favorite). I highly recommend it. The film starts on November 1st, a lot of it takes place on Christmas Day and then it ends on New Year's Eve, so overall it makes a good holiday film. I usually watch it the last week of the year.

Mike LL

Who is going to break it to Cassie?? Marilyn Monroe was NOT known for her singing! Just loved the reaction! It was great that this movie really jived with Cassie. Billy Wilder made some great movies. I wish The Apartment really landed with Cassie, but if she re-watched it now, I bet she would like it more, knowing the ending and now being very impressed with Jack Lemmon. Can't wait for the Grumpier Old Men reaction! Others have mentioned Tony Curtis' Cary Grant accent. Cassie, how could you not recognize it! Ha ha. I'm glad Cassie had such a good time.

Zane From Canada

"Aww, I'm a man." "Well, nobody's perfect." Still one of the funniest moments in movie history. 🤣🤣🤣

Zane From Canada

Actor George Raft (Spats Columbo) was friends with a lot of mobsters back in the day. He was best friend's with Benjamin Siegel, one of the founding fathers of Organized Crime. The film Bugsy (1991) touches on the relationship they had.

Johnny Liu

Jack Lemmon is so good in this, Monroe may be the star, but it definitely is his movie. Once again, thank you Cassie for doing the classics!

Clifton Owens

Bright Angel, Miss Cassie, when you get all dolled up, you're just as stunning as Marilyn Monroe, but I think you're too shy to go out in that dress she was singing in—great reaction and commentary.

kenneth brown

Too bad about your recording problem with “What’s Up Doc”. That movie is hilarious!

Chris Clarke

If you want another good Tony Curtis film with comedy and romance, Monte Carlo or Bust is brilliant (1960s). Although I think it was marketed under a different title in the US.

Eddie Perkins

I haven't seen this in years. I forgot how funny it was. The Seven Year Itch is another funny Marilyn Monroe movie. And I think Jack Lemon is great in everything. The Out of Towners (1970) and The Apartment (1960) are my two favorite movies with him.

Stick Figure Studios

Had a feeling you'd like this one. It is hilarious, isn't it? There's a reason it was picked as the number one comedy on the AFI "100 years, 100 laughs" list many years back. You are right about a lot of the tropes that can be found in the "gender bender" comedies originating here. Sounds like you've seen a fair amount of entries in this subgenre already, but one that you didn't mention in your group that you absolutely must check out is TOOTSIE with Dustin Hoffman. For me, it's right up there with SOME LIKE IT HOT as the best example of that kind of movie. Marilyn Monroe did sing in a number of her films, but she wasn't really known for her singing so much as she was known for her beauty (she started out as a pin-up girl and worked her way into movies) eventually becoming a pop culture icon on the level of James Dean and Audrey Hepburn. She was indeed stunning, but she also had an incredible screen presence and, though she was often typecast as dumb bimbos, was actually a very good actress. Some other films of hers you should see are THE SEVEN-YEAR ITCH, GENTLEMAN PREFER BLONDES and THE MISFITS. Don't know if you knew this or not, but Tony Curtis, the actor playing Joe / Josephine, is Jamie Lee Curtis's father and that was a pretty good Cary Grant impression he was doing when he played the rich man... and speaking of Grant, another movie that gets recommended a lot in this community that you should check out at some point (especially given your mentioning of WHAT'S UP, DOC? in your outro) is BRINGING UP BABY with Cart Grant and Katherine Hepburn. It's another madcap screwball comedy. You'll love it. With GRUMPIER OLD MEN right around the corner, you're going to be watching a lot of Jack Lemmon (Jerry/Daphne) on this channel... and that's a good thing. The man was a national treasure, able to do both comedy and drama brilliantly. Some other movies of his to keep in the back of your mind are THE GREAT RACE (also with Tony Curtis), THE ODD COUPLE (with his GRUMPY OLD MEN co-star Walter Matthau), THE DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES, GLENGARY GLEN ROSS and THE CHINA SYNDROME. This also opens the door to more movies from director Billy Wilder, one of the all-time great Hollywood filmmakers. Get ready because here comes another list of classic films to see: the aforementioned SEVEN YEAR ITCH, DOUBLE INDEMNITY, SUNSET BOULEVARD, THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, ACE IN THE HOLE, WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION and the original SABRINA (which I know is already on your radar). So glad you got a chance to watch this bona fide classic and even more glad that you enjoyed it. Looking forward to that sequels week. As always, keep up the good work. :-)

Thomas Thompson

The Seven Year Itch, another of my favorite Marilyn Monroe movies and very funny

Clarence Newman

+1 for Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, THE GREAT RACE (which is becoming a hot topic on here lately) and The China Syndrome.

Tinkerbell

Hi Cassie, so happy you liked this one. Tony Curtis’ accent you were stuck on was a straight up Cary Grant impression! Curtis idolized Grant and really wanted to work with him. He finally got his wish in Operation Petticoat. It is a service comedy that has a couple of love stories. It’s pretty underrated in my opinion, but then I would probably watch any Cary Grant comedy and be completely happy! I think you would get a kick out of it. Maybe you should think about having a classic movie as a regular thing. You are clearly enjoying all of them and I think most us would love that. 🙂 Agree Monroe is always charming.this film was so hard for her. She was deeply addicted to pills at this point and couldn’t remember her lines. Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Billy wilder all talked about how hard she was to work with. One funny piece of trivia, the last line “nobody’s perfect’ while one of the most iconic lines in film was a place holder until Wilder came up with something better. He never did and in the end it was so good he even had it put on his tombstone.

Clarence Newman

Don't think the length will matter with this one, because she'll be entertained throughout. Time flies when you're having fun!

Clarence Newman

And Cassie, if you think Hugh Grant v Colin Firth in Bridget Jones is the funniest "fight scene" in movie history, wait till you get a load of this.

Tyler Foster

Still desperately hoping that you either 1) re-record What's Up, Doc? with Carly, 2) release the audio for the original reaction, or 3) both.

Mojo One Thousand

I guess it depends on kind of train ride is wanted. As there is also "Unstoppable" with Denzel and Chris Pine, where Tony Scott does his thing with a real life train incident. Or, one the versions of "The Taking of Pelham 123", with the more recent also being a Tony Scott film with Denzel. But the original may better with Robert Shaw and Walter Matthau. Or, a version of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express". Or, Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes reuniting for "Money Train", which is in the same family as the "Pelham 123" movies.

Chris Thom

Hugh Hefner and the Playboy brand began with Marilyn Monroe. Hefner found some old nude photos she'd taken before her career took off (his magazine didn't take them, he only found them and bought them off another photographer) and he printed them before she had time to sue. This was in 1953. First issue sold 55k.

(Nolo)finwe

Yes a man in drag used to be very funny. Milton Berle Became the king of TV with it , however, What is turned into , trying to convince and turn the culture that it’s a normal and

Mojo One Thousand

The length of "The Great Race" is probably my biggest gripe with it, other than that I have always enjoyed it.

Tara

Cassie, if you want to see more cross dressing men, you should check out Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie.🍿

V M

Cassie, dont watch any more cross dressing men. :P

Choof

I'm glad you ended there before continuing what was going to be something truly not fit for this nice comment section

Clay F

+1 for Jack Lemon. He is good in The Apartment (1960).

Clay F

I took my kid to see "Unstoppable" (2010) [Denzel and Chris Pine] in the theater in 2010 when released. Wild.

Mike LL

Stick, when I was reading your post and I got to your phrase " and speaking of Cary Grant" I really thought you about to mention I WAS A MALE WAR BRIDE (1949) the movie with, you bet, Cary Grant in drag! Cassie has mentioned that the original SABRINA is on her PPOTM list, I really wish she would pull the trigger on that one!

Clay F

Three train movies I recommend: 1. "Unstoppable" (2010) 2. "Source Code" (2011). Jake Gyllenhaal. IMDb 7.5, RT 93%. I took my kid to see in the theater when released. A little queasy for me. 3. "Dead Man" (1995). Johnny Depp. I love this movie. Only a fraction of the movie is on a train but striking visuals. The Neil Young score is awesome.

Clay F

Yeah, that poll is closed, but a big time bust with Coming to America. Plus, tender November can have multiple tender movies.

Larry Darrell

The only version of Agatha Christie’s, Murder on the Orient Express that should be watched is the 1974 version. It’s a Masterpiece.

Walter

I want to second Operation Petticoat - a fun movie. And if you enjoyed Curtis and Lemon, I'd also recommend The Great Race - another really fun comedy.

Chris Thom

Thought she was pretty great in River of No Return. A western. That was on TCM a few years ago.

Chris Thom

Yeah she was considered a major money-maker at the time. Not to mention how star struck everyone was in being around her. Can imagine the whole set fussing over her.

Chris Thom

She gets a good mix in. Probably more than any other reactor channel.

Larry Darrell

The song, “I Wanna Be Loved by You,” that Marilyn Monroe sings was originally recorded by Helen Kane in 1928. Kane was the inspiration for the animated character (whether she wanted to be or not), Betty Boop, who appeared in many, many cartoons and comics throughout the 1930s and has since become a Pop Culture Icon. Helen Kane version… https://youtu.be/hclK-UKJNgk?si=eru8OcaCrQgQ0tTV …and since it is so close to Christmas, I have to mention that Betty Boop was most famously voiced by the amazing, Mae Questel, who is also most famously known for playing Aunt Bethany in one of the greatest and funniest Christmas films ever, Christmas Vacation (1989). The Boop-a-Doop Kid: Mae Questel https://youtu.be/4QhPZvyhnD4?si=lA7ikL50CCckeQAb “Don’t throw me down Clark.” - Aunt Bethany ;-) PS: For some other films from this era, so that you may find more tenderness or more hilariousness… or both… Harvey (1950) Born Yesterday (1950) Father of the Bride (1950) Room for One More (1952) Monkey Business (1952) Gentleman Prefer Blondes (1953) Shane (1953) The Long, Long Trailer (1954) It Should Happen to You (1954) Sabrina (1954) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) We’re No Angels (1955) The Court Jester (1955) Mister Roberts (1955) The Seven Year Itch (1955) An Affair to Remember (1957) Bell Book and Candle (1958) No Time For Sergeants (1958) Operation Petticoat (1959) Pillow Talk (1959) One, Two, Three (1961) Flower Drum Song (1961) It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) Lilies of the Field (1963) The Courtship of Eddie’s Father (1963) A Shot in the Dark (1964) The World of Henry Orient (1964) The Americanization of Emily (1964) The Great Race (1965) The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming (1966) Barefoot in the Park (1967) The Party (1968) The Odd Couple (1968) The April Fools (1969) These are what I call DELIGHTS :-) PSS: If you’re looking for a “Train” film. The best of the bunch is… Murder on the Orient Express (1974) Directed by Sidney Lumet, who also directed Dog Day Afternoon (1975) and 12 Angry Men (1957). The 1974 film is a Masterpiece of filmmaking with one helluva cast. No need to bother with the 2017 remake… no need at all. ;-)

Joe R

Tom Hanks started his career on a TV show with the same premise called Bossom Buddies.

Mark Vaderr

I've been wanting Cassie to watch "Tootsie" for a long time. It's one of the greatest comedies ever made.

Mark Vaderr

Completely agree. Jack Lemmon steals the show. What a talented actor he was.

Mark Vaderr

Thank you for ending your comment where you did. I think your point is valid.

Mark Vaderr

Oh, how I wished that you could have had Carly watch along with you. I hope that she does see it and enjoy it as much as you did.

Clay F

I wondered if you remembered Jack Lemon in The Apartment (1960). I agree that Marilyn Monroe has charisma. Tony Curtis being a pretty guy arguably would make it easier for him to pull off a female disguise. That upper-body running motion you simulated was perfect for pre-1960 movies. In this movie, I saw the representational, theatricality type of acting (over the presentational, naturality, realism type of acting of today), as described in the YouTube video "Why Does Acting Feel So Different Now?" posted on Discord by KL. Marilyn Monroe was an actress/model (who could sing). "Known for playing comic 'blonde bombshell' characters, she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s, as well as an emblem of the era's sexual revolution." This movie is one of her last few movies. She died 3 years later in 1962 at age 36 in her LA home of a barbiturates overdose (ruled a probable suicide). "Long after her death, Monroe remains a pop culture icon, with the American Film Institute ranking her as the sixth-greatest female screen legend from the Golden Age of Hollywood."

Clay F

As noted in the Find your own copy link (JustWatch), this movie is streaming for free on MGM+ if you are a subscriber. I streamed for free on MGM+, as I am subscribed to MGM+ through Amazon Prime Video. A movie about Marilyn Monroe that I like: MY WEEK WITH MARILYN (2011). Michelle Williams (nominated for Best Actress Oscar) completely transformed herself into Marilyn Monroe. Ana de Armas is beautiful as Marilyn Monroe in BLONDE (2022), but I didn't finish watching that movie.

Larry Darrell

@Stick - The original… The Narrow Margin (1952) is better in my opinion. But, Cassie may like to see Gene Hackman.

Neill Shaughness

Been waiting for this one for a long time!!!

Neill Shaughness

Color films don't really have a before/after moment. There's been color movies since nearly the very beginning of cinema and there are still the occasional black and white film today. The late fifties is around when Hollywood started to make more color films than b+w, but it was probably close to half and half

Stick Figure Studios

@Larry: That was my thinking. Also, I agree about MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. The Branagh one is okay, but the Lumet version is the one to see.

Bert Towle

I'll join the advocates for The Great Race. The 2 male leads from Some Like It Hot are the 2 male leads in The Great Race. You've seen the female lead in another movie you enjoyed, though she was much younger. It features stunts, contests, a race, female emancipation, romance, music, protests, Russians, travel, aircraft, a coronation, a prison break, a swordfight, the second best pie fight on film, and a couple of really good sidekicks. It's a film both pop-ladies would enjoy I suspect.

Clarence Newman

I would second your motion, Bert, but there's already been 38 endorsements on this thread, so here's the 39th! Love it she will!

Clarence Newman

It will fly by for Cassie. Her biggest problem will be recovering from coat-hanger mouth.

Clarence Newman

I always found his turn in JFK very compelling. It was only a small part, but Jack and Ed Asner really lit up the screen.

Clarence Newman

Nice little vintage list there, Larry. Re-up to the following: Harvey (1950) Gentleman Prefer Blondes (1953) Shane (1953) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) The Seven Year Itch (1955) An Affair to Remember (1957) Pillow Talk (1959) It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) Lilies of the Field (1963) A SHOT IN THE DARK (1964) THE GREAT RACE (1965) Barefoot in the Park (1967) The Odd Couple (1968)

Ted Little

Silver Streak was filmed in Toronto shortly after the completion of the CN tower. When I saw the movie in a Toronto theatre, the whole audience laughed when the train pulled out of Chicago with the tower in the background.

Ted Little

I think it was Leo McCary who said, when asked how long a movie should be, replied, "How long is good?"

bgb1975

The Great Race, Cassie! The masses have spoken. Directed by Blake Edwards - same guy that did the Pink Panther movies. Peter Falk is great in it, too!

Clarence Newman

Clay, If only she hadn't already watched Unstoppable. It would make for a great reaction.

Larry Darrell

“Where did you pick up that cheap trick” joke on the guy tossing the coin… George Raft famously originated the gangster coin toss. See… Scarface (1932). https://www.tumblr.com/about-faces/183643306881/george-raft-originating-the-coin-flipping-mobster

Marja

Waaaahhhh?!?!? It’s delightful but I’ve always been a sucker for Ann Sheridan - I think she’s great. Have you seen Kings Row? 40s melodrama to the nth degree! And very famous for one particular line that I will NOT spoil for anyone. 🤫

Marja

The Apartment doesn’t land with everyone, and I get it. It’s a dark comedy disguised as a rom-com. A little scratching beneath the surface reveals indictments on office life, ethics, relationships, behavior, etc. If you know that going in, it won’t be so uncomfortable - but then you miss that “new reaction smell”!

Marja

I liked the original version of Narrow Margin. Classic B movie noir.

Johnny Bullis

Great reaction video Cass.. I have never seen this movie before but I have seen the kissing scene where she is trying to get Tony Curtis to feel something before in another movie or something. She really was a blonde bombshell, too bad she had such a tragic life behind the scenes and her passing was rather tragic. Theres actually a movie from the 90s called Calendar Girl with Jason Priestly from BH 90201 where he and 2 friends go to California to get a date with Marilyn, you should check it out. If you like Jack Lemmon in this and his silly banter than you should see The Odd Couple with him and Walter Mathau. Thanks for watching this one.. it was funny.. I never know how good this was.

Gray

Had never seen this or any Marilyn Monroe film before it was alot of fun. Liking the variety of movies at the moment.

bgb1975

If this is the second best pie fight on film, which is the first?

bgb1975

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is a must. And yes, A Shot in the Dark did get short-changed in the recent poll. It's better than The Pink Panther. Shane would be a good one for tender November as well.
