Our first both rewatching! FINALLY! But it was kind of great because we had forgotten so much so we were surprised by things all over again! This was so fun from the first scene to the last and truly just proves what a movie star Tom Cruise is!

I’m not positive, but I think you may have a bias towards Tom Cruise😉 jk

Bill Maurer

Pom Klementieff/Paris was great in this movie 🍿. Glad she returns in the next one

Rick Rodriguez

I REEEAAAALLLY hope a certain someone is actually not gone from the series. Hopefully that's cryptic enough.

Walter

Excellent. I've been looking forward to watching this again. One of the only series I can think of that has gotten better with every installment (though I do think Fallout is my favorite)

Adam Grunther

I still can’t believe you got to meet Tom Cruise at the premier of this movie. That’s beyond freaking cool!

Chris Thom

Last one I saw of this series was the one with Henry Cavill.

Cole Jennett

I like Rogue Nation best, but I agree they have all been quality since 2

Redrum Ritual

I think the reason this movie didn't make as much money as the others, some may say it was the writers/actors strike, but I think this movie came out the week before Barbie Oppenheimer weekend. Plus, the talking at the beginning of the movie ran too long. Still a good movie

Philip Alan

Thank you for the better lighting in the theater room! 💡💡

Alex Tan

I do hope that The Final Reckoning (2025) makes a lot more, even if it has to compete with the live-action remake of Disney's Lilo & Stitch (2025) on Memorial Day weekend.

Clarence Newman

Ooooh, I haven't seen it yet, but that was one of my big gripes about the theater room. I'm glad it's sorted.

TheSingulatarian

If you like this movie. The greatest AI movie ever made was 50 years ago "Colossus: The Forbin Project". Not easy to find as it has been swept from the internet. It is a thinker, and the technology is dated but is the kind of movie that creeps under your skin and stays with you. To see it you have to buy the Blu-ray or it is available on the internet archive for free. https://archive.org/details/colossus-the-forbin-project-1970.

TheSingulatarian

Her name is an homage to the role that Leonard Nimoy played on the original Mission Impossible TV series.

TheSingulatarian

She needs to see Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder. Frank TJ Mackie in Magnolia And his character who I'm too lazy to look up his name in Born on the Fourth of July. Cruise can do more than romantic comedies and action films.

Clarence Newman

Wherever he is, Tom Cruise has just texted Chris McQuarrie and said "Chris! Clear your evening! The reaction just dropped!"

rakesh

Been enjoying Rebecca Ferguson in Silo on Apple TV. Worth bingeing over xmas!

Joe

Fantastic movie, one of my favorites.

Joe

For truth in advertising, Cassie will have to put, "2nd Time Watching" on the YT edit (haha).

Joe

Hollywood accounting is pretty bonkers, but it seems the studios lose money on most films. The budgets are crazy high and every film has to have like 2000 union people working on it.

Uncle Phoenix

Honestly in terms of Christmas Movies, I think Cassie and Carly would enjoy Denis Leary’s “The Ref”.

Cole Jennett

Cassie probably more then Carly. She’d be somewhat less turned off by the salty language.

V M

There's a difference in the lighting?

Stick Figure Studios

You ladies still need to watch JACK REACHER, the first collaboration between Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie.

Philip Alan

I'm not sure why, but that movie put me to sleep. I did not enjoy it.

Stick Figure Studios

Really? I thought it was riveting from the first scene to the last (and had one of the best car chases I've seen on screen in a long time).

Philip Alan

And I love their M:I collabs. I could not get into the movie. Probably was in a mood. I may try again.

Stick Figure Studios

If it helps, try to think of it as a throwback to the kind of "adult" (as in not aimed at teenagers) movies Hollywood used to make a lot more of... and make well. Not a "sensational" stunt spectacular like the M:I movies, but a smart, witty, violent mystery-drama with a confident sense of style and pace, a charismatic star in the lead, some thrilling action scenes (which are not so frequent as to become tiresome or overwhelm the story) and a refreshing lack of conspicuous special effects. I thought JACK REACHER had the look, feel and, perhaps most importantly, attitude of a 1970's thriller, a time when stories could be tough, gritty and even cynical without being despairingly bleak or nihilistic and when heroes (or "anti-heroes") could be complex and subversive without being completely depraved or sociopathic. One could easily imagine JACK REACHER being directed by Don Siegel and featuring a young Clint Eastwood in the titular role (indeed, the opening sequence is very reminiscent of the prologue to DIRTY HARRY).

Steve Mercier

Paris, the scary woman who redeems herself in the end, is Pom Klementieff: Mantis from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Rick Williams

This movie is amazing. They just keep getting better. The stunts are amazing. This is how movies were meant to be made. Great Reaction Cassie & Carly. You two are marvelous.

Walter

Jack Reacher is a great movie. The sequel I don't like, but the first is really good.

Mister Lou

idc if this is your 10TH time watching this, I be here to watch it again with you two! I love these movies and THIS one in particular! Dead Reckoning is BY FAR the best part one of two.. Mainly because they say from jump, this is a part one of two. Where as Fast X and Spider-Man didn't and I was totally thrown off by both. I feel like they had an abrupt stop, and said part 2 coming soon.. Like at least this one had a great beginning, middle and end for a two part story. and the others relied too much on a cliff hanger.

Mister Lou

also you two are SO LUCKY to have seen this movie and the cast and got to talk with Tom and the director?! So fetch! maybe they'll invite you back for Final Reckoning? That'd be dope! I wish that for you both!

Mojo One Thousand

Vanessa Kirby is very good as shown in this as "Alanna/White widow" and also playing "Grace" (Hayley Atwell's character) playing "Alanna", as the ladies pointed out. But it should also be noted that the base of the character when she was introduced in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" is being the daughter of "Max" the broker from the original "Mission: Impossible" played by Vanessa Redgrave. So there is a little of the "Max" character in Vanessa Kirby's performance as well, to start with and then character swap on top in this movie.

Clarence Newman

She could also do what the hardcore, corporate companies do when they advertise something like that. "FIRST TIME WATCHING.....!!!" Then in tiny writing at the bottom of the page ("....in our home theater.")

John Drake

Yes Carly, we all remember you in that red dress 💃!

2024-12-21 21:40:54 So even on a 2nd watch you still don’t recognize Mantis from Guardians of the Galaxy hey? I know that Carly, inexplicably, has not watched those movies, but Cassie you don’t have the same excuse😉 I do think it’s time for you to girls to watch Tom Cruise back in the glory days in “Cocktail”.

I didn’t realize that Ethan Hunt, much like Scott Lang in Ant Man 2, must have also studied at Online Close-up Magic University!

Rick Rodriguez

Fun fact. Tom Cruise almost made a movie about Houdini with Paul Verhoeven in the 90s.
