I sound like a broken record, but these are very fun! I like that people who haven’t watched any trek before could still watch and enjoy them! This one was insane to look at and I loved the character dynamics. I can’t believe it! We are done Trek for now, it has been an honor to explore space on the Enterprise with my friends! 🖖

Night King01

There is always DS9 and voyager

V M

If she has to return to Star Trek, she should revisit TNG.

Jared Stark

Cassie, is 2:44AM!!! 😂😂😂😂 Please watch Dolores Claiborne for Patreon. It’s Stephen King, and it stars Kathy Bates. It’s her best role and Stephen King’s favorite adaptation. 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Laura Thornley

Yup! Doesn't even need to be a deep dive at first, maybe just a few relative stand-alone episodes to get a 'feel' for the shows. Despite DS9's reputation it does have a lot of episodes that stand on their own very well (especially the earlier seasons) and Voyager was basically designed to be TNG 2.0 (whether or not it succeeded is a matter of opinion) and there's only a few points where you can't just jump around episodes without issue (first episode to set the premise, a few episodes where there's a change in cast).

Laura Thornley

Honestly this is my favourite of the Kelvinverse movies. Is it perfect? No, but its a lot of fun and the entire cast is excellent.

Laura Thornley

Also I think you're a Trekkie! No gatekeeping here. So long as you like Trek and aren't being mean to other fans, you're a true Trekkie.

Mark White

I was just thinking what must it be there?! Someone’s up late!! It’s about 10am here in the UK. It’s rare to get a reaction drop at this time.

Mark White

V, I really enjoy DS9 and love Voyager, but, I agree a return to TNG episodes would be my preference.

Mark White

Cassie, you are a Trekkie! It’s whats in your heart, not how many episodes you have watched. 🙂

Ike

Holy Marathon, Batman. You’ve gone from TOS - to TOS movies - to TNG - to TNG Movies - to KELVIN movies. The PIB Trekkies would be remiss if we did not say “THANK YOU, CASSIE,” for your Patience and Grace for coming this far! P.S. I have to say this - STRANGE NEW WORLDS is the next best thing - just sayin :) Just take a peak at the cast of characters. But, seriously thanks for an entire playlist of Star Trek reactions!

Jasbro

As a long time and massive fan of Star Trek who doesnt watch any of the newer stuff, they just didnt have that classic Star Trek feel, i really enjoyed these movies, they dont ruin anything by taking different directions from the main universe since they are their own seperate timeline, something similar to the Mirror Universe from the shows. There were some things i didnt care for like what they did with Sulu but overrall its a fun movie, hopefully they can work something out and bring is a 4th movie.

Texas Anla'Shok

This is I think my favorite of the JJ-verse movies. It feels the most like the original series.

Mojo One Thousand

I agree with "Kirk" that the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" is a good choice (it was in the soundtrack of the first movie but not part of the story), but it is not for everyone. You weren't fond of it Cassie, what would be your choice of for the "beats and shouting"? I was waiting the Idris Elba reveal, it is very late that he is finally revealed, so unless you know he was in the cast, it is difficult to pick, there is only a quick glimpse from the video "Uhura" was reviewing in the first hour. Also, the piece of his plan you may have missed was he wanted to use the "Yorktown" station, which is why he needed the weapon to remove people and leave the infrastructure alone, the "bees" would not sense if the Yorktown was to remained intact. There was a brief line about this, but those can lost when there is so much going on. Also, different director to the first two, it wasn't J.J. Abrams, so not nearly as much lens flare usage as the first two movies. There is also a nice little mention in the end credits for both Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin who both passed at different times in the production , the former prior to production, and the latter having to be added very late due to his tragic passing just prior to release.

Darren Harrison

I have always enjoyed the Chris Pine movies, but I can take or leave the rest of “Star Trek” movies and TV series

Clay F

Star Trek: Section 31 (2025) (starring Michelle Yeoh) is being released this month on Parmount+

Clay F

Good movie. Thanks for the reaction.

Caomhan84

Cassie, you ARE a real Trekkie. Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't because you haven't watched all the shows. I can tell how happy it makes you to watch this stuff...and that's the key. It's been wonderful to go on this journey with you and see your love of the franchise grow. And remember...140-ish episodes of TNG are right there. Whenever you want something comfy to watch, you still have most of the show waiting for you. 😊 I think there is some other stuff that you would enjoy with the franchise if you choose to explore it on your own. Thank you for taking on this big undertaking for us, though. I'm soooo glad you enjoyed it.😊

Anthony Carlson

Captain James T. Kirk: “[referring to his father] He joined Starfleet because he... He believed in it... I joined on a dare.” Doctor 'Bones' McCoy: “You joined to see if you could live up to him. You spent all this time trying to be George Kirk and now you're wondering just what it means to be Jim.” https://youtu.be/CysGBZUHW34?si=oNc6keZH79MkrcwN

Samuel Champ

Thanks for the ride, Cassie. "Live long and prosper"

Wes

Cassie. I believe JJ Abrams announced there will be another Trek movie with this cast! 😁

Dan M

So happy to have taken this journey through the final frontier with you, Cassie. Your love of all things Trek is so endearing. It was a joy to watch you evolve into a true Trekkie. R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin, both of whom passed during production of this movie. Dan M…out.

aarswft

You were doing so well. Ambassador Spock isn't from another universe, he's just from the future stuck in the present.

Scott Macaulay

I’ve been watching Trek since 1973 so I think I have the cred to confirm that you are in fact a Trekkie. You know the references and characters and most of all, you whistle at the Enterprise beauty shots. All that is required is love of Trek. Welcome to the club 😊❤️

Dan M

I saw the trailer for it the other day. It doesn’t look very “Trekkie”.

Dean Holt

Well I thought you where a real Trekkie until you called it the Death Star and also said this is a Star Wars theme moment….. only joking 😂, after watching the amount of hours you’ve put in you can DEFINITELY call yourself a Trekkie. My favourite quote has to the Khan’s “He tasks me, He tasks me and I shall have him” Regards to the film like the other two I’ve always enjoyed watching it yeah maybe the villain isn’t written brilliantly and that’s probably the weakest part. But I’ve always like how the crew gets split up and the chemistry between Bones and Spock in this one is so good and they have some of the best moments. It’s also a great movie to chill out to and watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I’ve honestly never gotten the hate for all three of these, yes they are more action over being just Sci-Fi films. But if you want that go and watch the original films. At least these can’t be accused of just coping the TOS and have stamped their own mark on the franchise. Rip Leonard Nimoy & Anton Yelchin

Dean Holt

Not sure if you’ve tried but you might enjoy Strange New Worlds.

Just Plain Bob

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, people in my workplace used to download screensavers to their work computer (contrary to IT policy). They were usually holiday or seasonally themed. For example, a Halloween themed screensaver might include a big scary house with a black cat on the porch, a graveyard to the side with ghosts arising from the graves and a witch on her broomstick flying in and out of windows. People would gather about to watch the newest screensaver. They’d watch for thirty seconds and then go on about their day. Today, people watch them for two hours and think they’ve seen a movie.

Above Average Dave

Cassie—I love that you really enjoy these newest Trek movies. I though Chris Pine was a genius choice for Kirk. But I love even more that you unabashedly love them despite a lot of the hardcore Trekkies dismissing or trashing them. You be you in all you do and let the naysayers be background noise. Cheers!

Rick Rodriguez

It's my least favorite of the Kelvin's, but the cast is, per usual, the best part. I just felt that this played it too generically with the story and prefer the big swings of Into Darkness. I would love them to so a big final fourth film that has a story with intergalactic intrigue and lifeform/scientific discovery. And a song and dance at the end. Wakka wakka wakka. Gonna watch Ensign Cassie's reaction later.

Stick Figure Studios

And so we finally arrive. It's been a long journey but it's been great. I know you are done with Trek for now, but I hope you do check out PICARD at some later date. I like this movie. Not as much as the first Kelvin film, but better than INTO DARKNESS. It's the one that feels the most like an episode of the original TV show (and it was written by Simon Pegg no less). Looking forward to this reaction. :-)

Irby

I love that Simon pegg(scotty) wrote the story for this

Dean Holt

It’s been an incredible journey watching to make your way through one of my favourite franchises. So I thought I’d share my movie raking, because I’m a bit superstitious I didn’t want to have 13 spots so added Galaxy Quest. But Cassie I’d love to know how you’d rank them and feel free for anyone else to add there’s as well and remember guys when ranking films for anything else there’s no wrong answers as it’s just someone’s personal opinion. Regards to mine all the top ten I really like & always have fun watching. Numbers 4 to 10 can be interchangeable depending on how I feel at the time just because I rate them all about the same. 1/ Wrath Of Khan 2/ The Undiscovered County 3/ First Contact 4/ Galaxy Quest 5/ Star Trek (2009) 6/ Generations 7/ The Voyage Home 8/ Beyond 9/ Into Darkness 10/ The Search for Spock 11/ Nemesis 12/ Insurrection 13/ The Final Frontier 14/ The Motion Picture

Shad Kanyak

Tough era for Star Trek with Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin both dying around this time.

greggreggreg2000

Thank you for all the time you've spent on Star Trek! Be honest, have you picked up a computer mouse yet and said, "Hello Computer" to it? lol

Andrew Golledge

Last chance to make your pitch for Picard season 3! (And seasons 1 + 2 if you must lol)

Mike LL

I've always liked this movie the best of the three “modern era” Star Trek movies ever since I first saw it in the theaters. I used to think that if you forgot it was a Star Trek movies, it was an excellent picture. I've told a few people that, and it never worked. 😂 And with all the characters I can see why. Let's just say that by the time I saw this in theaters I knew it wouldn't have that old Star Trek feel and it would have very little sci-fi in it (despite all the Trek technobabble about dilithium crystals, warp cores, etc, etc, etc) and I just went with all the kick ass action sequences and loved it as a great popcorn flick experience. Not that the movie doesn't have many flaws. It is ridiculous to have an actor the caliber of Idris Elba and have him unrecognizable under all that make up (unless you are making a Planet of the Apes movie. And on that topic, where is PLANET OF THE APES 1968! Huh, Huh? Where is it! 😛 ) I also thought the opening bit with the gargoyle creatures was a little cartoonish. But I did love, love this reaction. Cassie was so into it, and even called out for musical cues! Great. Great reaction! I also really loved the character of Jaylah and she is a big reason why I like the movie so much.

Variable38

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but its suspend "disbelief". You are able to believe because you are stopping yourself from disbelieving.

FleetAdmiralJ

Take your time to consider where you want to go next. There are a lot of places. The natural progression is DS9, but that could be harder to do in 4 episode per season chunks. Voyager is probably better if you want to continue in that trend. I'd also consider checking out Enterprise. I also think, eventually, you should check out Picard. And of course there are the other newer ones as well. I'm sure a lot of people will have a lot of opinions about where you should go next!

Canadianant

⁰Well it's been a great run Cassie. It's been alot of fun watching along with you. This one isn't the strongest story wise but Jaylah is a great addition to the crew and there's a fair bit of Scotty in this one which I like. Is it all beats and shouting that you don't like or just the beastie boys? I like the Beastie boys personally but always found their inclusion in the Star Trek universe very strange. I know JJ is a big Beastie boys fan hence why he probably included them but still feels weird to me. Overall these Calvin universe movies are fun enough as popcorn movies but there's not a lot of substance to them. If I had to give my vote to any future Star Trek viewings for you I personally would vote for Voyager. I think it would fit in your four episode release schedule a lot easier than trying to figure out how to do DS9 without watching them all. That being said I'm sure the non trek fans on YouTube and in patreon are glad to see a bit of a respite from trek content. That haven't even said it's been a big Journey already and the nice part is if you ever want to come back and visit there's still a lot more waiting for you. Live long and prosper 🖖

TheSingulatarian

First three seasons she could four or five episodes without much problem. Season 4 onward she would have to up her episode counts, or it won't make much sense to her.

Pianodean

I agree (except for Picard). I know Cassie would like DS9, but she'd have to watch every episode and like TNG it kinda takes a couple of seasons for it to get it's footing. She'll like Voyager AND Enterprise as well. Enterprise is the weakest, but it's def TREK and pretty good Trek at that. Discovery made Enterprise look like Emmy material.

Canadianant

Forgot to add in my post at this point given all the trek content that you have gone through does the patreon faithful here see fit that we should promote Ensign Cassie to Lieutenant Junior grade? With all privileges and responsibilities that that rank implies?

Kevin Townsend

Happy National Popcorn Day!

Just Plain Bob

Love Star Trek, but I’m glad it’s over. Hopefully not just for now, but for good. Too much time taken away from the thousands of good movies that Cassie can choose from. Cassie thought she recognized the actor that played Commodore Paris, Shohreh Aghdashloo. I’m sure she did as Ms. Aghdashloo has an extensive filmography. I know her from another superb sci fi tv show, “The Expanse.” I highly recommend it (but not for a reaction, please; I really think tv reactions should be limited to miniseries or single season shows).

Mark White

Yeah, she’s defiantly passed Ensign now! But she will need to watch all of TNG, DS9 and voyager to get to Lieutenant Commander! 😆

Caomhan84

I would go ahead and promote her to lieutenant. Someone send her the rank pips.😂

John Sullivan

You're a real Trekkie ❤️

John Sullivan

Cassie, I'm not lying my younger brother legit used that Picard quote about time from Generations at our mother's funeral in late 2023. Her father (that Grandfather I never met) was an OG Kirk and Spock 1960s peace and love Trekkie. This Trek stuff hits hard for some of us ❤️

John Sullivan

Respectfully disagree. This is a universe full of amazing stories. Other stories are even better! So it's good to move on. But these stories are still good. So why not continue to explore them? You can always skip the stories that you don't like 🙏❤️

Just Plain Bob

And what about the people in this community that DON’T like Star Trek? When a series is reacted to, it takes away 1/3 of the reaction slots available until it’s finished. Should those people be relegated to only possibly enjoying two reactions a week? Imagine if Cassie committed to reacting to series you didn’t like and, for much of the next year those reactions took up 1/3 of all the available slots. You like Star Trek. Good for you. I like Star Trek. Good for me. But, from the comments I’ve seen, there’s plenty of people that don’t. PS: One simple solution would be to add another tier. A “tv tier” or something similar (maybe call it the “microwave popcorn” tier?). For an extra $2 a month, patrons would have access to an extra reaction each week, all dedicated to tv shows. Only a full length reaction would be provided, limiting the time needed for editing. Alternatively, they could be bundled into five or six episodes for each YouTube edit. This way, those that are interested could follow along as Cassie explores various tv shows while others wouldn’t lose 1/3 of the reactions to a show they don’t care for.

V M

I've now associated popcorn with Cassie, so Happy National Cassie Day!

Mark Vaderr

Congratulations on completing your Star Trek journey, Cassie! Now let's get to those reactions for Planet of the Apes! HAPPY NATIONAL POPCORN DAY, CASSIE!!!

JPDotCom23

Suspend your disbelief

JPDotCom23

Not sure if anyone mentioned to you but Anton Yelchin (Chekov) died shortly after making this movie, you didn't make mention of it here so I thought I'd let you know.

djKENTO

BIf you liked Jaylah I recommend these other Sofia Boutella movies: Hotel Artemis: A neo-noir thriller about several gangsters stuck in a private gangster hospital together during a riot. The cast is insane and it’s a LOT of fun. Kingasman: The Secret Service: A modern spy action film from the director of X-Men First Class and Stardust. Super charming, very fun, and Sofia plays an incredible bad ass assassin. Atomic Blonde: A Cold war Berlin spy thriller from David Leitch, the co-director of John Wick who has really made a name for himself with Deadpool 2, Bullet Train and the Fall Guy (which you should also absolutely react to). This one also stars Charlize Theron, James McAvoy and Bill Skarsgard. I’d even recommend her remake of The Mummy with Tom Cruise which is NOT a good movie but I know you love Tom and I genuinely think she’s great in it, even if it’s not as good as the original or as fun. She’s great in stuff I don’t like. Super talented woman.

danzthename

I want a 4th movie with Jaylah in it!

Clay F

"Seize the time... Live now. Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again." -–Kamin (Picard) in Star Trek: TNG "The Inner Light" (1992).

Joe R

Picard season 3 to finish TNG!

Jamie

Star Trek was the reason I started supporting this channel. I will continue to do so because I like her reactions and honest emotional style. I think it's very harsh to dunk on a show/films that obviously people love just because it isn't for you. I don't watch the reactions to films I already know I won't like, and I don't go on any channel and say that they're crap, especially when you know full well that people love them.

Jamie

I think the natural next watch would be Strange New Worlds, as it's a quality show and has much more of a modern feel. It's also more episodic, so she can do a similar poll type thing like TNG. DS9 is too vast. I'm not opposed to any of the series (looking at you Disco) but DS9 is a big commitment

Jamie

I hope she doesn't watch 1 - 2, that'd put anyone off the franchise.

Jamie

Quite possibly the best good guy character in all the films (that isn't the crew)?

Just Plain Bob

Jamie, you obviously didn’t read my post very well. I like Star Trek. I certainly NEVER said it was crap. I’ve seen all the movies, and every episode of TOS, Next Gen, DS9 and Enterprise. I own the entire original series on DVD and blu ray, as well as streaming copies. But just because you like it and I like it doesn’t mean everyone does. How would you like it if Cassie dedicated 1/3 of her reactions in the upcoming year to a tv series you didn’t like? Because that’s exactly what some patrons experienced this past year. And, for those that don’t like a series, it’s not like skipping the occasional hit and miss reaction to a movie they don’t like. We’ve all experienced that. It’s quite a different thing to know that you’re automatically not gonna like 1/3 of the reactions on offer.

Clay F

Shohreh Aghdashloo is awesome in "The Expanse" (6 seasons) (2015-2022) (excellent sci-fi series). She is such a good actor. For Trek fans craving more, Jen Murray who had a brief appearance on The Poppies last year is reacting to both the entire TNG series (she currently in S6) and the entire DS9 series (she currently in early S1) by AIR DATE, without skipping episodes. Each week, she posts full reactions to 2 episodes (2 TNG episodes or 2 DS9 episodes or 1 TNG episode/1 DS9 episode, depending on the air date schedule). She has a year to decide whether to additionally react to Voyager by air date. Has been awesome for me rewatching DS9 episodes that I have not seen in 30 years and don't remember. I do remember DS9 getting better as progressed, but I have enjoyed this rewatch of DS9 early S1 episodes. As Cassie indicated, she may return to Trek after a break (my guess would not be anytime soon). On the other hand, Trek may be over on the channel. If she pursues more Trek, options are Picard S3 (10 episodes), Voyager (abbreviated), SNW (abbreviated), DS9 (if abbreviated is feasible), and/or key missed TNG episodes. I would like to see her react to "Andor" Star Wars series (currently only 10 episodes). I think she may react to Last of Us S2? If Trek is over on the channel, that's fine -- there are a lot of good movies out there for her to react to. As for past reactions to series, I loved her reactions to BoB, True Detective S1, The Pacific, Chernobyl, The Queen's Gambit, etc. = awesome content.

Jamie

Wow, that is incredibly harsh on TMP (or a compliment to the brilliance of the other films... Insurrection... cough)

Anthony Oberhauser

🖖🏽Live Long and Prosper Cassie Popcorn 🍿

Jamie

He is from another Universe, this one diverged from Spock's in the first film. In Spock's timeline Jim's dad was alive, or at least lived longer, for instance.

Jamie

Why does everyone moan about lens flare so much? It's never bothered me

Clay F

+1 for Sofia Boutella. The character Jaylah has such distinctive facial features. Jaylah is pretty (inside and out).

djKENTO

@Jamie yeah that’s her. She has her legs IRL obviously. But yeah that was her first big acting break. She was a dancer before that. She’s in a ton of music videos. Super talented.

Tech Citizen

Thank you Cassie for your year long reactions to 3 iterations of the crews in Star Trek universe. I also have to thank Chris Pine who obviously gave you the motivation for this journey! I look forward to your other show and movie reactions, especially the upcoming The Last of Us Season 2! Maybe react to the first game's cut scenes before hand? Btw I think William Shatner is returning to the upcoming Star Trek convention in August. It may be his last given his age. If you plan to go, it would be very rewarding to at least watch the first (2-parter) episodes of each other major Trek shows including DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, before going as that should cover 95% of the Trek actors there. It may help you determine which one you personally desire to react when you are ready to dive back in to this universe.

D4RK

I feel it needs to be said, Cassie is what it means to be a true Trekkie, her unconditional love for the characters and their stories does us and and the creators so much credit, you don't have to like or even see every movie/episode to be a "proper fan". Side note- Just as Star Trek Nemesis made call backs to the DS9 series, this movie made a few references to the Enterprise show aired near it's time, name dropping the Xindi and the MAKOS. For those of us having watched the Enterprise series prior this gave Edison's origins and motivation more clarity, something I feel would be lost to someone on a casual watch through. Also in hopes to clear the confusion, both Shatner and Pine timelines are one in the same up to the point the Narada and Ambassador Spock's ship travel back in time and result in the destruction of the USS Kelvin, from that point on the timeline diverges from what we've already seen happen in what we call the prime "Shatner" timeline and setting in motion an entirely new timeline ( The Kelvin timeline with Chris Pine) were events we had witnessed prior may now occur sooner (like the discovery of Khan's ship in Into Darkness), later, not at all or will occur but with some differences.

Rick Williams

Great Reaction. Great fun. These movies are great.

Uncle Phoenix

I am So Sorry but; OBSESSED: This new Conspiracy Theory that Blake Lively Caught Feelings and that is why all this drama happened. OK, Ok, Ok,…I didn’t believe it at first either; but these old interviews that show BL admitting that she can’t be an Emotional Shape Shifter, like other actors. (Meaning that she is always just playing herself.) And that the way she preps for a role is through the character's wardrobe, and probably obsessing over her character’s love interest. (Which her text messages show that she did do) This explains half of what happened, and why her ego was so bruised when JB asked about her weight. The other half can be explained by RR getting his own ego bruised, and wanting his own Pound of Flesh. This even explains why the Studio and JB gave her everything that she wanted. They were all just hoping that all those FEELINGS would just blow over; and they would all get paid. This would be Impossible to speculate on IF we didn’t have ALL there Messages and Interviews. And IDK; but the theory does fit the public evidence.

Galaeanyss Freyja

If you want to see the end to Kirk and Spock's story, look up: otoy 765874 Unification It is only around 8 minutes long. It is a short film that they made it for the 30th anniversary of Star Trek Generations.

Clay F

Agree that the trilogy did such a good job with the crew characters. Nailed it. Further, I thought the same as you in there being a similar feel at the beginning of this movie w/ship destruction versus the beginning of the first movie w/the ship destruction.

Dean Holt

Insurrection, Nemesis and Final Frontier to some degree I can pop them on and find them entertaining. The main problems I have with TMP is it’s barely got enough story for just an average 45 minute episode. So they have to try and fill time with sections of the movie where nothing is happening other that the score playing on loop & really long tracking shot’s of the Ship or Spock going out into space, or showing how big Veeger is all of these take up a good 30 minutes. The only reason Spock wasn’t there from the beginning is so they could fill more time again by picking him up. All this just slows the pacing down and makes the film very slow Imo. I do have lots more issues with it but I just thought I’d give you my main reason but if you like it and it’s one of your favourites that’s awesome as we all find different things interesting and entertaining.

Clay F

Voyager (abbreviated), Picard S3, and SNW are top choices imo. Enterprise doesn't do it for me. I think DS9 (which is awesome) is off the table because can't be reasonably reacted to in an abbreviated fashion.

D. T. Nelson

The term you were searching for, I believe, is "Suspend your disbelief", as in setting aside that part of your brain that doesn't believe what is going on. I know there are those who hate on the newer Star Trek movies, but I've always enjoyed them for what they are. I've liked almost every ST creation. I hope you continue exploring the other shows, on PiB or on your own. Go back and watch those episodes you skipped in TNG (there is so much great stuff that you missed there), and then go on to watch Deep Space 9 and Voyager... maybe even ST: Enterprise & ST: Picard.

Clay F

Good stab at a list, especially with 4-9 being interchangeable. I do think TMP (director's edition) is better than The Final Frontier.

Clay F

As many do, I like Into Darkness better. But all 3 good. My ranking is release order.

Dean Holt

That’s fine as regards to TMP. I just find it very dull (see my other response), it’s also one I’ve rewatched the least as even The FF I can pop on and enjoy it for how silly it is in places.

Clay F

Section 31 being released this month. Good chance that Star Trek 4 will happen. Need to get Pine and Quinto fully onboard, but Paramount is committed. Paramount publicly discusses. Were it not for the prequel, Star Trek 4 would likely be further along. Paramount has prioritized the prequel. Again, the Abrams Trek 4 movie will happen once Pine and Quinto get fully onboard. Paramount still planning Trek 4, but latest news mostly focuses on prequel production, which I am excited about. The prequel is set to be released next year. *Director: Toby Haynes, who also directed Andor and Black Mirror *Screenwriter: Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote The Lego Batman Movie *Producer: J.J. Abrams *Setting: Pre-Kelvin timeline, before Star Trek (2009) *Focus: Humanity's early contact w/aliens and formation of the United Federation of Planets

Vlad D

Agreed 👍. DS9 has to be watched in it's entirety. Otherwise you do it a disservice. I rather have Cassie watch it on her own time. I realize there are PIB fans that aren't fans of Star Trek. That would be fare to them for Cassie to commit to all episodes of DS9.

Caomhan84

I actually think that she would enjoy Strange New Worlds a lot (Even though, while it's fun, as a traditional Trekkie, it does have problems). She would be alllll wrapped up in the Spock and Chapel stuff, and she'd love Pike. If she returns to Star Trek in a year or so, and doesn't do the '90s TV series, I would suggest that she just start there because it's short enough to be fully watched.

Jamie

I am not joking Uncle Phoenix when I say you need to call a doctor. I am genuinely worried about the wall of gibberish you just posted. I am not being a dick. It's concerning. I'm an internet nobody so i have no stake in the game. You need to call a family friend or a doctor.

Jamie

I'd assumed she amputated her legs for the role :)

Clay F

Dean, good point. I like TMP better than most fans. The Motion Picture (director's edition) has a majestic sense about it with good dialogue, music, visuals, and story.

Jamie

I read your post well enough. The 'for good' part was my grumble. You're a Star Trek fan gatekeeping what a reactor does or doesn't react to... and you're saying she should ever react to Star Trek again? She's never done a full season, i.e every episode, but it wouldn't be a big percentage grab to do a few more select episodes. Also, mate, she seems to actually like it. Like you do. I find your absolutes quite dark side of the force.

Chris Thom

I don't know enough about this case to register an opinion. But would hope they could settle things out of court first and just do some basic conflict resolution without blowing everything out of proportion. Some of this reminds me of workplaces in college. Communication is key.

Jamie

Also the best for pornographic shots of the Enterprise

Just Plain Bob

Jamie, you clearly said that I regarded Star Trek as “crap” and that I was “dunk”ing on the franchise because “it isn’t for (me) you.” These statements are clearly misrepresentations of my feelings for the Star Trek franchise, presumably in an effort to turn this into a discussion about “haters gonna hate.” My point was simple and I won’t reiterate it a third time. I also can’t help but wonder why it’s “gatekeeping” if I think there shouldn’t be any more reactions to Star Trek but not if you think otherwise. I’d call that a difference of opinion. Not gatekeeping. Also, I hope your final comment was intended humorously. The force is Star Wars, not Star Trek. But, given your seemingly deliberate obtuseness to my prior posts, I can’t be certain whether it was a joke or not.

Clay F

I thought Idris Elba did a good job portraying a bad guy (Stringer Bell) in "The Wire" (one of the best TV series all time).

Chris Thom

He's just the luckiest lil geek of all time. Dreams DO come true.

Jayson Phillips

That picture at the end that spock looks at? I have that on my wall with all their autographs, one of my fav collectables. Met william shatner last year at Dallas Fan expo and he was just as cool as i rem him lolo.

Gray

I've watched all the newer Trek films now and i'd say they were good bit of entertainment. I can see why it would be such a popular show with the exploration premise and also the characters. Loved Simon Pegg in Spaced, so it must be a trip for him to have been in both Star Trek & Star Wars lol

Joe R

Have you noticed that Beastie Boys songs appear in each of the Kelvin Timeline movies?

Walter

If this is your final Trek channel reaction, then I thank you for the fun ride. It was truly a pleasure re-watching these and experiencing your joy at discovering them. If you don't return to Trek on the channel (a tragedy, indeed), I do encourage you to explore Trek further on your own. In particular, DS9 and Voyager are great additions to the universe. They don't have movies but they each have 7 seasons worth of great content to experience.

Chris Thom

Didn't know that. But I always think of little Kirk stealing the car to Sabotage. It's burned in my memory and I've only seen the movie twice.

Mojo One Thousand

Hardly a moan, pointing out a stylistic difference between this and the previous movies. I don't have a problem with lens flare as a cinematic technique. Though, J.J. Abrams has made it a foundation of his directorial personality, and I felt it went overboard in the first two movies, mainly the first, whereas his movies have some but not nearly as much as his Star Trek movies.

Art of Free Speech

Along the same lines as others have posted, if this is your final Trek (at least for now), thank you so much, Cassie, for engaging in a universe we all fell in love with more than a half century ago. I would still strongly encourage you to watch, either on your own or in the future for the channel, at least Voyager and Enterprise, as both are great series. Others still will encourage you to watch DS9, again, on your own or for the channel (I didn't enjoy DS9 myself, but there are certainly those who think it's the "best Trek." For me, Voyager is "best Trek"). To avoid spoilers I'll say simply the characters/crew in DS9 didn't appeal to me, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't to Cassie or shouldn't to anyone else.

Walter

I am a DS9 is the best guy, but I love Voyager and I believe Cassie would love that one too.

Joe R

When Kirk is in bed with the 2 alien women with tails, Body Movin is playing.

Jamie

So many words to justify an opinion that boils down to 'don't do anymore Star Trek's'. I just don't get why you want to direct this channel's output. And yeah, the Star Wars bit was a joke.

Jamie

I did enjoy you telling me about your DVD collection tho

Just Plain Bob

I don’t get why you want to direct this channel’s output. Because anyone that expresses an opinion apparently wants to “direct this channel’s output.” At least, according to your view, it seems that expressing an opinion is trying to control others. But maybe you’ve been sniping at others that have opined that they’d like more Trek reactions and blatantly lying about what they’ve posted, as well. Somehow I doubt that, though. It’s almost as if you have an opinion you express and then you behave contrary to that stated belief. If only there were a word for that. Anyway, you seem to have a lot to say when all it really boils down to is that you’d like to see more Star Trek reactions. You just have a different opinion, which is fine. Too bad you’re reticent to afford others the same courtesy.

Jamie

What the actual balls are you on about? Plenty of dog shit movies in the 90s mate. Don't be so fucking wank

Jamie

But is so minor? It's like complaining that there's too many two shots

Just Plain Bob

Classy. So you lie about your fellow patrons and also curse at them. You’re a credit to the community.

Chris Thom

Suspend disbelief sounds better, but the other way probably works too. Like you suspend what you know is true to roll with the story.

Chris Thom

He is definitely talented. I just mean he's fortunate to get to work on new versions of things he loved growing up.

Art of Free Speech

@Walter I think she'd really enjoy Enterprise, too, honestly. I think she'd thoroughly enjoy kind of seeing where it all started, how people felt about the transporters in the beginning, dealing with long term space travel (Hoshii having problems with it, etc...). Enterprise, to me, is the most underrated of all of Trek. Really happy to hear you enjoyed Voyager, too. It's funny because when it first came out, I didn't watch it and refused to watch it for many years. Eventually, I gave in and watched it and obviously absolutely loved it.

Paul Ark

If you enjoy Chris Pine's work, I might suggest you take a look at "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves". Great adventure & action, sharp humor, family drama, and a touch of romance. Not that violent and not the least bit gory, so very Carly-friendly.

Verteron

A couple years ago I came across this channel during the first or second episode of Band of Brothers. Joined patreon a couple months later. Last December I was thinking about dropping and then Cassie started her Star Trek reactions. I'm glad I stuck around, it's been a fun journey watching a new Trekie discover and enjoy this franchise. I hope we get to revisit the Trek world in the future as there is so much more to uncover. I just finished a rewatch of Voyager and I really think Cassie would enjoy that series, or maybe even a few more episodes of TNG as there are some major characters that didn't get screen time. We definitely can't have the Kelvin movies be the last Trek on the channel, at least finish with the good Star Trek =P

djKENTO

to be fair I know someone who saw this after Kingsman and said “that disabled actress is really talented, losing her legs didn’t hold her back at all”

Michael G

It's been a long road, getting from there to here.... Thank you for this incredible run of Star Trek and inviting us along for the journey. None of the other series are going anywhere. So when/if you decide to jump back in, off or on channel you have so much to look forward to.

Ian A

This was great. I had missed this one till now and it's my favorite of the Kelvin Timeline. It is what Star Trek is to me, wonderful aliens, beautiful landscapes, witty dialogue, heartfelt talks and some cool spaceship battles. I do agree with you, the villains actions seemed kind of weird and unnecessary and muddy as you said. Thanks for the Star Trek journey with us ....so far. 🤞...please Voyager 😆

Chrissonator

The Xindi are first introduced in the TV series "Enterprise."

Clarence Newman

Whoa. Plenty to catch up on, but I didn't expect Croc Dundee 2 to already be up! I was kind of expecting it for Australia Day but that's not till this week. I know what I'm doing this afternoon. 🫶

Clarence Newman

As for this being the end of your Star Trek journey (for now), I'm aware this is a polarizing issue. We all have our opinions, but for me, one of the best things on this channel is when you get into something that takes you on a journey. The Rockys did that to you, as did the Last of Us, Lord of the Rings and the MI7 premiere (which was not only part of your Mission Impossible journey, you literally had to fly to New York City.) With the exception of LoTR, Star Trek may be the best of them all. I'm very much on the fence about whether you should plunge into all of it, because it does take up a lot of time on the channel, but thank you for sharing all of this with us so far, because it's been a blast. You still have to watch Picard Season 3, of course. It's fundamentally required as the big red ribbon on top of your TNG package. Don't be shocked by Jean-Luc's appearance, though. He's much older in Picard and has no hair.

Dean Holt

His reply might not have be very diplomatic or giving any constructive criticism but he does have a point. You can go through any decade of movie making and find movies that are bad or aren’t to your liking. Personally regards to this movie I think it’s pretty good and I could list several hundred films made between 1930 to 1979 that I disliked and would rewatch this over them.

Dean Holt

Aarswft if you google it and look on IMDB they both say another movie is in production with this cast. Yes ok there’s a possibility it might get cancelled, but to say it’s never going to happen is just being pessimistic. But they would be foolish not to make another one as all 3 movies are the highest grossing film of the franchise.

Mojo One Thousand

She did, it was raised by folks after the first movie, she talks about it a bit in "Into darkness" and has quite the reaction to seeing him in that movie as she thought it happened after the first, not the thrid.

Mojo One Thousand

Doesn't seem minor if by your own assertion everyone is moaning about it. Is the biggest problem with the movies, probably not, but effort went into doing that could have spend on bigger problems. But we will have to agree to disagree. I find it quite distracting in the first reboot "Star Trek", you don't. Let's move on.

Milton William Burray

2009 - Jar Trek 2013 - Star Trek Into Dumbness 2016 - Star Trek: Beyond Stupid

Clay F

I am very grateful to the genius J.J. Abrams delivering excellence with the three Kelvin films. The writing is awesome. The writing is one reason that I love the Kelvin movies. It's the writing that is one key to making all three films special. Of course, as Cassie noted, the look and special effects of the Kelvin films are also excellent. An impressive production. Lastly, as Cassie further indicated, the crew characters (both the acting and writing) are stunning -- the trilogy nailed it.

Clay F

Yep, spoiler = Jean-Luc in the Picard series is not the physically-vibrant middle-aged man with a strong-sounding voice of the TNG series 30-35 years ago. I remember being so stoked for the Picard series -- I subscribed to Paramount+ just for that -- but then being somewhat taken aback at how old Jean-Luc is -- I don't know what I was thinking. If she returns to Trek, series to consider are Picard, Voyager (abbreviated), and SNW. DS9 is apparently off-the-table b/c even the most ardent fans of DS9 seem to say that DS9 cannot be reacted to in an abbreviated fashion. Enterprise is low on my list personally. I am curious about Star Trek: Section 31 (2025) (starring Michelle Yeoh) being released this week on Paramount+ I am excited about the prequel to be released next year. *Director: Toby Haynes, who also directed Andor and Black Mirror *Screenwriter: Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote The Lego Batman Movie *Producer: the genius J.J. Abrams *Setting: Pre-Kelvin timeline, before Star Trek (2009) *Focus: Humanity's early contact w/aliens and formation of the United Federation of Planets

Clarence Newman

I don't really mind that Patrick Stewart/Picard are old and a little bit "less than" in the Picard series. Everybody gets old (hopefully), everybody passes their prime and into something different, and it's sometimes interesting to see how they still manage to remain relevant and live life to the full. It doesn't always work (Martin Kove as Kreese in Cobrai Kai is a perfect example - the guy can barely walk anymore, never mind fight), but when it does work (Clint Eastwood being the prime example), it can make for some very entertaining end-of-life stores. Patrick Stewart looks and sounds old in Picard, but he's still capable of carrying the series and for those of us who loved him in his prime, it's great to witness his last big rodeo. If Cassie watches it, she'll only end up loving him more.

Milton William Burray

Awesome writing like when Nero went back in time, and instead of going straight to Romulus and warning them their Sun was going to destroy the planet 50 years from now or whatever, dedicated himself to not only killing Spock - who did nothing wrong except try and save Romulus - but also genocide Vulcans who were completely blameless in the natural disaster It's a bit like going back in time to kill the volunteer fireman who tried to save your family home and killing his entire race as well It's so stupid it's beyond words I could go on but all the servers in China lack sufficient capacity to detail the idiocy of JarJar Trek

Clay F

The villain Nero actions are completely believable. The Abrams Trek is the opposite of idiocy. If you want massive plot holes, see the TOS movies. For instance, consider ST II: The Wrath of Kahn: 1. Kahn recognizes Chekov during the first act scene in Ceti Alpha V. Khan specifically says that he "never forgets a face," and remembers Chekov's name. In the TOS episode "Space Seed," Chekov was nowhere to be found, nor was his character even on board the Enterprise at that particular time. 2. Another example of idiocy, which I always cringe at when rewatching The Wrath of Kahn, is when Scotty carries Preston to the bridge. Suddenly, Scotty emerges from the turbolift carrying young cadet Preston in his arms, which makes no sense. Why would Scotty not immediately rush Preston to sickbay, especially because Preston is still alive? Had Scotty not deviated to the bridge, Preston might have stood a chance of surviving. The list goes on.

Joshua Langweil

Need more Star Trek. Perhaps you can watch selected episodes of Voyager and Enterprise (DS9 is very serial, so hard not to watch it all, but might be doable), and certainly, as others have said, Picard, especially Season 3, is required viewing to complete your TNG journey.

Luke Godfrey

"Last Star Trek for a while". I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand this gives me hope Cassie will eventually watch the two new tv series I've been begging for her to watch (Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds). On the other hand it sounds like it's not going to be any time soon. I didn't love this movie as much as the first two when I first watched it, but on second viewing all these years later I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the first time round I was too hung up on the new uniforms. But this time I got to appreciate it for what it really is, an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat Star Trek movie with an excellent cast, excellent graphics and a lovable new character to route for. P.s. It sounds like Cassie forgot original Spock and young Spock were in the same universe (aka new timeline).

David Freese

Do you know one difference between Kelvin and Prime timeliness. Which kinda doesn't make sense but cause it happened before the changes was the Xindi weapon went east west instead of north south like in prime. Thats why that crevice is in the middle of Iowa.

Chrissonator

The Kelvin and Prime timeline divulges with the Kelvin incident, so everything prior to that happened the same in both timelines. You can even see the NX-01 in Marcus' office in Into Darkness.

David Freese

No matter what Cassie even if its off channel please watch DS9 because for different reasons is as good as TNG IMHO

Rod Reavern

"Star Trek Beyond" was just a big dumb popcorn flick. I understand why Cassie enjoyed it -- I did too when I watched it in the movie theatre -- but I never bought it on Blu-ray because it was so stupi... unremarkable. The problem is that, similar to "Into Darkness," the movie cherry-picked elements from the TOS show and movies, shoehorned them into a 2-hour movie without the proper context or thematic connections, and completely lost their emotional resonance. For example, at the beginning, Kirk lamented he's feeling "lost in space" in year 3 of the Enterprise's 5-year mission, and he was a year older than his father was when he died. Kirk didn't feel burned out or old in Season 3 of TOS; he didn't feel that way until "Wrath of Khan", which was AFTER Kirk was promoted to Admiral and became an instructor at Starfleet Academy. It was because he had given up the Enterprise and was in his 50's that he felt old and irrelevant. The inner turmoil of Chris Pine's Kirk made no sense, especially since the movie showed that the Enterprise wasn't out on the frontier ALONE for 3 years straight. Firstly, Dr. Carol Marcus left the Enterprise between movies, demonstrating that crew changes occurred, and the Enterprise stopped at Yorktown for R&R, so it's unclear what its "5-year mission" even meant!? As for the plot... it made no sense! Ignoring the contrivance of the Enterprise possessing the missing component of Krall's handheld WMD, there was no explanation WHY Krall and his surviving crew were "stranded" on that planet because A) The Franklin was obviously repairable; and B) Krall's Drone Swarm was capable of space flight and warp travel. He could've left the planet at any time! Krall didn't even need that WMD to attack Yorktown because his drones could've breached the giant glass fishbowl, like they did to the Enterprise, then most of the people inside would've been sucked out into space and died. The WMD was completely pointless!!! Even if Krall's attack on Yorktown had succeeded, it would not have proven that unity was a weakness and broken up the Federation. Krall's stupid plan was pure petty vengeance, like he was a villain-of-the-week on TOS. Another problem was how useless the Enterprise's weapons and shields were against the drone swarm. Ok, the fact that the Kelvin timeline's Enterprise uses "pulse phasers" instead of the beam phasers from TOS and TNG, that sorta made sense. IF the Enterprise had beam phasers it could've swept them across the swarm and wiped them out easily. But the photon torpedoes being unable to hit the drones was so stupid! You mean futuristic torpedoes don't have a proximity fuse or could be remotely detonated!? Then there's the ship's navigational deflector, which was specifically designed to REPEL small objects from the ship's path, but the drone-ships rammed the deflector dish head-on. And finally, the shields were utterly useless. It would've made sense if the shields had been gradually weakened from the ram-drones' overwhelming numbers, but instead, the drones went straight through the shields like they weren't there. I could go on about all the dumb technical faults and plot holes, but the characters were the biggest disappointment. Most of them weren't behaving like themselves or had no character development whatsoever. For example, Spock felt the obligation to leave the Enterprise and go to New Vulcan to "make little Vulcans", which was a stupid non-dilemma in the 23rd century. I won't go into the details, but Spock didn't need to do things the old-fashioned way (i.e. find a mate, get married, settle down, and raise children). That's NOT a logical way of RE-POPULATING the Vulcan civilization. Spock could've "donated" on the Enterprise, sent it via shuttle to New Vulcan, and countless Vulcan mothers could've bore his children. I've ranted long enough. Suffice to say, I didn't like this "Star Trek" movie, but I at least enjoyed watching Cassie's reaction to it. That said, I'm glad the Kelvin movies are over and done -- and there won't be any more. I sincerely hope that Cassie returns to Star Trek in the future and watches Season 3 of Picard. She might also enjoy Star Trek: Lower Decks because it's filled with references to Star Trek TOS and TNG, it would be fun to see how many she gets -- and I think she'll like Commander Ransom being a parody of Riker!

Andrew Roach

Hopefully down the road a few more TOS episodes will be on tap as you did so little of those other wise here is hoping you do the best Trek ever... DS9. But as I said before this involves commitment and doing the whole series as a 'best of' won't do for this series since it becomes highly serialized. Until then, Who anyone?

Clay F

What did you enjoy when you watched the movie in the theater?

FranciscoGios

Well this past weeks has been so enjoyable watching you Cassie watch the ST reboots. But I think you once said one chapter closing and another one opens, or something within those lines. See you on the next chapter.

Milton William Burray

Likewise 'Khan' reveals himself in Into Darkness when nobody would know what 'Khan' meant in this Enterprise crew - but this is a relatively minor error in amongst all the bad writing, however if you think it's idiotic in Wrath of Khan then by your own logic Into Dumbness is guilty of the exact same idiocy

Rod Reavern

No, Cineplex theatres (the largest movie theatre chain in Canada) have had DBOX motion seats for at least 10 years. They cost about $5 extra but are worth it for action movies. The seats are also roomier and more comfortable, and they don't share armrests.

Clay F

"I understand why Cassie enjoyed it -- I did too when I watched it in the movie theatre -- but..." You plainly disagree with her on certain points, which is fine. For instance, she has emphasized how well the Chris Pine ST movies (Kelvin films) did with the characters. ST (2009) outro: "What a time to be alive.... First and foremost, the casting was fantastic. Very hard shoes to fill, but I 100% believe that they could have been Scotty, Bones, Sulu, especially Kirk, and Spock. They had their mannerisms, and swagger, and the way Bones talked, that could have been him. So the casting was fantastic. It was cool to see how [the film was] able to do ST with all the resources of 2009.... It was action packed from the beginning to the end, but I don't think they sacrificed character development... I love how it was a prequel and we got to see them before it all came to be.... Anyways, I really enjoyed it... I'm really enjoying Kirk in this." Leonard Nimoy on Star Trek (2009): "great heart with the characters. ... capture[s] the essence of the fun of the Star Trek characters, the chemistry between the people, the excitement of becoming part of that crew and going out on this adventure. ... I was pleased with how they treated the Spock character. I thought that they really got it. ... I was very happy to see Zachary Quinto take over the character. I think he’s an excellent, well-trained actor and excellent for the job." ST Into Darkness (2013) intro: "I am so happy to be diving back into my ST sci-fi loving nerdy universe. I thoroughly enjoyed the first new version, the Chris Pine ST if you will... I thought the casting was perfect, and I am excited to see where we go with this new crew. Kirk and Spock are friends. Scotty ... is adorable. It's going to be great. I love the casting of Zoe Saldana as Uhura.... The guy who played Chekov... was outstanding." ST Into Darkness (2013) outro: "Ok, I really loved it. I can't help it, guys. Maybe I'm not supposed to, but I did. I loved it.... I still think Bones, Spock, and Kirk are phenomenal at the nods to their original characters, and their mannerisms..... [Also,] there were these nods to the original series, to ST, without it being too corny. .. And Scotty, guys, Scotty for life... These are just so fun for me to watch, especially after watching all the other ST I did." ST Beyond (2016) intro: "I love this Kirk's crew... I have been having a lot of fun with these Chris Pine Star Treks. I thought they've done an incredible job. I thought the casting was fun. It looks great, and it's a wild fun ride. It's action packed. I'm ok with it not being like exactly accurate to the old ones. I like that they nod to the original, but put their own spin on it. Like I said, it's just more fun to enjoy them, in my opinion... I am very excited for this 3rd one, just to, you know, have another adventure with them. ... We are back on the Enterprise with our crew." ST Beyond (2016) outro: "Ok, ok ... I really liked it. I did. These are, like I said, they're so much fun. They're entertaining. They're action packed. I think they look, like I can't even, I know they're CGI ... but like if I think about what actually goes into CGI, that's like insane.... I know it's computer generated, but it's still highly impressive... So I thought it looked fantastic. I, of course, love these characters. And I still think they all do an amazing job of being true to who we saw in the original series but adding their own spin to it. All of them. I think every single one did a good job. I loved Jaylah in this one. I thought she was great."

Ria Grix

I like this one because they went back and re-edited it to give Anton Yelchin more screen time. One last hurrah for his Pavel Chekov. If they do get round to another movie, I hope they don’t recast him, I’d like to know that Chekov had been promoted and was off having adventures elsewhere in the galaxy.

Rod Reavern

@Clay F: WHAT IS THE POINT of quoting Cassie's intro and outro's? Cassie's opinions of the Kelvin "Star Trek" movies don't invalidate my points anymore than my points invalidate her opinions. Do you NOT have any opinions of your own? You just WASTED YOUR TIME transcribing Cassie's statements.

BibbitduBois

When Spock looks at that group photo of the original crew it hits me in the feels every time, just like when I heard Leonard Nimoy recite the intro speech, "Space, the final frontier...."

Dustin Rumsey

My least favorite of the Kelvin movies, but 1. Jayla is the best non-crew character out of all of them and 2. The fall of the Enterprise is a masterful action sequence. I also really enjoy the Enterprise show references 👏 thanks for the great Star Trek run!

Bernie Zwicky

Have you thought about reacting to any other Star Trek series, such as Voyager, Discovery, Picard, etc. They are all done in the Star Trek style and are well written and entertaining, with new and diverse characters! Voyager and Discovery have particularly strong female characters that show commitment and strength to the roles they play! ❤️
