Hey aren’t you supposed to be on vacation?!!

Love your recent picks. This was a Sam Rami movie. You might want to check out Army of Darkness to get a better appreciation of this one.

Yup, Fantastic Four and X-Men are Marvel and are coming to the MCU as rebooted franchises. (Woohoo!) Black Bolt, the guy y'all said you didn't know, is from the Inhumans. They had a show a few years ago, but it never got a season 2. It wasn't that great. Yes, that's Peggy Carter. If you watch "Marvel's What If...?" then that is explained, as well as a few other things in this movie. Yes, Patrick Stewart was Captain Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. You should watch the X-Men movies. A few are duds, but most of them are really good. You mentioned Iron Man & different actors playing in him. At one point in time Tom Cruise was up for the original role. People thought he was going to make an appearance as Iron Man in this movie. That storm y'all had was perfect timing!!! 🤣🤣

This one threw me. I'm sad for Wanda

Hi, Cassie! Loved your video, especially when it started hailing while you were watching the movie! I think one of the issues with this movie is that it's the first MCU movie that really pretty much requires you to have watched the Disney+ shows. If you haven't watched "WandaVision," "Loki," AND "What If?" a lot of what's going on is pretty confusing. obviously, WandaVision sets up the story in a big way, and "Loki" introduces the concept of the multiverse and different versions of the same characters. "What If?" dives into this a lot more and includes an episode devoted to a dark Dr Strange much like the one that appears in the movie. It also showcases Captain Carter, the Zombies, and a couple of other things. As someone else mentioned, Patrick Stewart's Professor X is from the X-men franchise, and I would totally recommend the first two X-Men movies, as well as "First Class," "The Wolverine," and "Days of Future Past." Additionally, Black Bolt comes from the short-lived Inhumans series, which wasn't terribly good, though Anson Mount's performance as the silent Black Bolt was one of the highlights (even though he's masked here, it's the same actor). As someone else also pointed out, the film was directed by Sam Raimi, whose first film was "Evil Dead," so the aesthetic here was very much in line with his sensibilities. The vendor on earth-818 is played by Bruce Campbell, and he's appeared in every single Sam Raimi movie. When Ant-Man 3 comes out, it will tie in to the multiverse as well, with the appearance of Kang ("He Who Remains" from the end of Loki). As much as you were saying you weren't sure about watching this movie again, it may be worth revisiting after checking out "What If?"

Personally, I only think you need to have watched WANDAVISION - nothing that happened in LOKI is connected to this movie, and WHAT IF introduces a bunch of ideas, but the movie doesn't lean on the way those ideas are introduced other than the idea of the multiverse being a thing. You'll get some more context but the only thing you needed to have seen is WANDAVISION for this movie.

Rick Moreno

I don’t disagree, of the shows, “WandaVision” is the only one that absolutely essential. The others are not totally necessary, but do provide some context that helps understand the story.

Now that we got a sequel to WandaVision, maybe we'll eventually get one for Dr Strange... I am becoming mildly annoyed at Marvel's sorta- motte and bailey. 1. Of COURSE you need not follow our fire-hose of streaming content. We're merely providing something for all tastes. 2. What do you mean you had trouble understanding our latest movie? It's a simple logical continuation of show 1, show 2, ... We'll see how well this works for them.

BATMAN '89 not looking so bad now, is it, ladies? ;-)

Tyler Foster

This seems like an odd complaint. They explicitly said that this new wave of Disney+ TV shows were meant to be more connected to the movies. Whether or not that's good, that's one thing, but they did not act like the shows were unnecessary in terms of following the story.

Tyler Foster

I can't remember if I said this here or somewhere else, but while "Loki" does a better job of showing off the range of what other Lokis can look like, the show features -- and of course, is *about* -- other versions of Loki that look like the Loki we know. When Loki is zapped into The Void and is leaving the underground chamber where the other Lokis live, he encounters "President Loki," the one other Loki in the show that is also played by Tom Hiddleston. I think the real mistake is that this movie never shows you another Dr. Strange that isn't played by Benedict Cumberbatch. It would make sense for the Strange in the beginning to look like him, because we need to know that's an alternate universe version of him right off the bat, but the evil one he fights probably could've been played by someone else.

Jason Chirevas

He directed it, yes, but it doesn’t particularly reflect his style or sensibility at all. It’s just a frenetic mess.

Yann Laliberté

There is some angles and jumps that were similar to Evil Dead. As well as some scene with lots of cuts. And if course Bruce Campbell. I disagree with you, it's very Raimi
