Really love this under the radar good stuff. The action sequence, story, editing, location, cinematography shots are 1st rate job

Bill Maurer

If Gene Hackman is in it, it's worth watching. PS: "The Searchers"

Hey Cassie! Would you react to Becky and The Wrath of Becky? I admit, they can be hard to watch at times but omg so so worth it. And can also be pretty cathartic after a stressful day. Think John Wick meets Harley Quinn.

Jaccob Cortes

Some ideas for the war movie Segment name: "Corprals Corner" "Kernals Report" "Pop and give me 20" "Pop-Gun"

Happy Hanukkah

And if it also has Michael Caine, then you've really hit the jackpot! :-) And I will once again recommend The French Connection (1971). Not for a reaction, just for y'all's general edification.

Bill Maurer

I like Michael Caine, a lot. But he's had some clunkers over his great career. Jaws The Revenge The Island Dressed to Kill Blame it on Rio But overall, a great, great actor. They all make a bad film once and awhile

Stephen Malloy

So glad you chose this one. It’s been one of my favorites for a long time. Make sure you watch The French Connection and French Connection II, Hackman’s iconic roles as an NYPD detective.

Happy Hanukkah

Mi scusi, I was jokingly referring to PCU (1994): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110759/quotes/?item=qt0398010 The only movie the two were in "together" was A Bridge Too Far (1977), which is certainly worth a watch. Pretty much the only actor I'll watch any movie for is Sean Connery (not necessarily for his Acting skills). Heck, I even watched Medicine Man! (By the way, apropos Cassie's previous post, I just noticed that A Bridge Too Far also "features" Ben Cross.)

Brian McGovern

Owen Wilson starring alongside Gene Hackman! "WOW" Would have thought that would ever happen.

Bill Maurer

thanks ... they were in the same movie but do not recall them having a scene together. Been a long time since I've seen that movie

Matt Dellarosa

Cassie, in answer to your question about what war movie to watch next I would recommend U-571. I only say that because David Keith, the actor who played alongside Gene Hackman is in it and it is a really good movie. It's a submarine action film. You should also watch La Bamba, because of the comment about Richie Valens.

Matt Dellarosa

I'm still gonna say you should watch Mississippi Burning since you love Gene Hackman in it. He's really good in it. It's an intense movie with heavy subject matter but still good..

Matt Dellarosa

Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson were also in The Royal Tennenbaums which was really good. Just know once you go down the Wes Anderson rabbit hole you may be in it for awhile. The only two movies of his I didn't like were The Darjeeling Limited and The French Connection. The rest were great.

Bill W

Mississippi Burning...One of several Alan Parker gems along with The Wall, Fame, Midnight Express, Angela's Ashes, The Commitments,

salim alvarez

Cassie if you enjoyed this you shhould check out Bat21, Gene Hackman is in it and also Danny Glover, and on top of that it was based on a real story...is kind of similar with BEL, is about a downed pilot in Vietnam

Jaccob Cortes

"Certified freak; 7 days a week. Got that buttered popcorn, kettle corn is looking weak."

RandyCC

"Military Monday," "Warfare Wednesday" and also expand the definition beyond only war to include other movies about war or the military? Some films I nominate for viewing... Dr. Strangelove (Kubrick), U-571 (Mostow), Paths of Glory (Kubrick), Inglourious Basterds (Tarantino), Stripes (Reitman)

Cory H

I had forgotten about this movie, but enjoyed it years ago when I saw it. Since you've enjoyed Gene Hackman movies, check out Heist, from the same year (2001). Great dialogue and a fun heist /crime thriller.

mhz

there's another "Behind Enemy Lines" -- I forget whether this is the second one or not .. anyways - this is a great movie ...

Leonard

Cassie how about you call it “Military Monthly Appreciation Movie”? Just a suggestion

Wesley White

Just finished watching the full length reaction! Gosh, I forgot how good this movie was, havent' seen it in like forever lol! It's amazing how some movies can become forgotten gems lol! Really enjoyed this reaction Cassie, your shock and awe expressions are hilarious as always, one of the many reasons why I became a subscriber and a patron lol! As for other War/War like movies, I recommend U-571, Red Tails, Red Dawn (1984), Kelley's Heroes, Heartbreak Ridge, The Dirty Dozen, Patton, Memphis Belle, STRIPES, Tears of the Sun, G.I. Jane, Broken Arrow, and Inglorious Basterds! Now I'm aware that someone's probably gonna read this and say "hey wait a minute, Broken Arrow and G.I. Jane and Red Dawn, are action movies, not war movies!" that's true, but they still involve military forces one way or another, so I classify them as "war like"! Still, they're all good movies in my book! Great reaction Cassie, glad I was able to participate in the premiere while on break at work! Looking foward for more in the future, you take care, much love and support, and as always [snaps fingers and winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉👍🌹

Monthly Military Matinee!

The Military Monthly POP Complete with a music bed like ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsQXVJOgvNY

BlueChip300

I think you would also like THE PEACEMAKER (1997) with Clooney and Kidman. It has some connections to the war depicted in Behind Enemy Lines (Yugoslav Wars). It's not exactly a war movie, it's more like a military Mission Impossible.

Bill W

Cassie, I think that was the exact plug this film got from the LA Times. "It's a war movie under 2 hours!" Variety says" "Gene Hackman is in it!" Even as just an action movie it's not that great, but now on to better things.

2-Can

"Midweek Military Movie"

Dazman

Gene Hackman elevates any movie he is in. You would like "The quick and the dead" and "Narrow Margin".

Marc Peterson

French Connection…plus Roy Scheider and greatest car chase of all time. Best Picture. Cmon!!!

S Elphick

Mississippi Burning is also a great Gene Hackman film

Kathy Carter

I just need to put this out there… Philadelphia, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Antonio Banderas and more… Courtroom Drama. That is all. As you were.

Anthony Oberhauser

Men of Honor - DeNiro and Gooding Jr. for the next war/military movie 🍿

Menno

Das Boot, Downfall, Apocalypse now

RandyCC

Das Boot is excellent. I have several versions. I didn't include it in the list of titles I suggested earlier due to the length of it - but it is a powerful movie. The last version I watched was the 209 min Director's Cut... couldn't put it down once I started to watch. Particularly good on a big screen and with a good surround sound system. The 149 minute US theatrical version will work too, but prefer the longer version.

Björn Karlsson

..and Fcuking Åmål/Show me love/Raus aus Åmål, Let the right one in, Run Lola run, Trollhunter, Lamb, The wave, The girl with the dragon tattoo etc etc 🙂

Jim Finley

Letters From Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers as a set! That's how Clint Eastwood made them, to show the battle of Iwo Jima from both sides.

NJC

Gene Hackman is one of many actors that did serve in the US military. I believe he was a Marine.
