I think you may like pain more than you thought you would. And there's nothing wrong with that. It isn't anything to feel bad about, just remember to negotiate where marks are left if you don't want people to see. Sounds like someone went through a bit of a sub awakening :P (welcome to the club, come in, make yourself comfortable, we cake and copious amounts of lube :P) EDIT: I'm SURE you know this already, but traffic light safety words are GREAT for bdsm! Green light=You can GO harder, Yellow light=woah SLOW down/not as rough, whilst red light=everything immediately STOPS.
