You just take the number in the parentheses, and add it to the current number of votes that the character has (as displayed on the right). The parentheses number is the carry-over amount that the character has from the previous round of voting. So if Sombra got 98 votes last month, then this month she starts out with a 98 vote lead. Since Ashe is new, she doesn't have any carry-over from a previous month, so her parentheses is 0. Currently, Ana is leading with 256 total votes. I hope that explains it D:
