Something to keep in mind: Frieza is not known to possess energy sensing capabilities like our Earth heroes. So from his perspective, he doesn’t know how strong Frost is or what Frost may be hiding until he actually gets to see it in person. He could tell from Frost’s personality that Frost was similarly evil to himself — so he went with using a scheme in order to bait Frost out and figure out everything he wanted to know. Then, Frost makes probably his biggest mistake. HE confirms to Frieza that he has NO golden form or anything else like that. Now Frieza knows with 100% certainty that he has more than enough power to beat his Universe 6 counterpart. But, always going for theatrics, Frieza baits him into even going so far as letting his guard down by acting like a mentor to him and showing him a few abilities of their kind that Frost doesn’t know. And once Frost’s guard was down and his trust was completely in Frieza, BAM! Like we’ve seen time and time again, a strike to someone who is off guard is a death sentence in this series. Frost didn’t even process what had happened until he was already out of the ring. Classic Frieza, 10/10.

Did forget that Frieza doesn't have the energy sensing capabilities. Because if Krillin and Tien and what not all have it, we just assumed someone at Frieza's level has it but guess that's why they had those scouters and everything. Although Vegeta was able to learn it so wonder why Frieza never did 🤔

I think when they get buff they hit stronger but move slower that’s why frieza made frost transform into that buff form, like when trunks was fighting vegeta. He turned buff and vegeta said that form was basically not worth it. So trunks baited vegeta so he could try to hit him and at the right moment he transformed back to his normal form. Something similar happens later on this arc and you’ll see what I’m talking about hopefully
