This was my first time watching this. I think my favourite part was Toothless (and somewhat the others) just acting like cats/dogs do, was very cute. Just a really fun and cute film, apart from the characters degrading Hiccup. I'm interested to see what the next films are like, I would hazard a guess that there will be some other dangerous creature to battle or maybe other humans to convince or something. I actually have no clue what my favourite animated film is

Great reaction, Seb. I love this series so much. Like you, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie but it ended up being WAY better than I ever thought. As great as this movie is, the next two are even better. Can't wait to see those reactions. :)

I'm not in the US but seems like it's streaming on Peacock there. It's on Netflix in the UK which is why Seb says that.

So, I saw this in the theatre when it first came out in -I think- 2010 and every scene where toothless and hiccup are flying brought me to tears. Tears of joy. Goosebumps. I think the reason some of these animated movies make such an impact is the sound design. The chirp sound toothless makes when he’s happy. The wind whistle as they dive. The total silence after Stoick first steps onto the dragon island. THE MUSIC. It all came together beautifully. Love this movie. It was really fun experiencing it again after so long with someone who hasn’t!

If you ever get a chance you can find the audiobooks on Youtube! They are a bit different but they are read by David Tennant! Super fun time.

I've always seen the reason for Toothless taking so long to show Stoick that Hiccup is alive because Toothless waits for Stoick to apologize. He does the same with Astrid when she meets Toothless for the first time. LOVED YOUR REACTION! I'm so glad I subscribed to your Patreon :)
