Another solid episode. Now that we’ve gotten to spend more time with Steven, I’m interested now in exploring Marc and what happened with him in Egypt. Also, from an American’s perspective, I love all of the British dialogue/lingo, no matter how exaggerated or heavy handed (that stereotype about us is true 😂). Mind you, we do have our limits with fellow Americans doing really bad accents. But Oscar Isaac is really selling it IMO 👌🏽

I believe Stevens accent is supposed to be off since he's technically an American pretending to be a British person

Interesting episode, I'm excited to see where it goes, and how quick the story will progress considering there's just 6 episodes, unless there's a season 2 coming, but who knows. I do agree with you that the british accents are a bit on the nose - in the first episode when he started talking I was so confused, cos I had no idea he'd be british xD

Elsa

why am I loving Steven and his cringey-ness haha bless him

Elsa

also ✨the drip✨ In this episode

I loved the different suits for moon knight between the two personalities and I think Steven might be more useful next ep more than Marc might want to admit and they obviously need to work on a agreement between this body swapping

Steven's British accent aside, Arthur Harrow's Mandarin Chinese is horrible, much worse than Wilson Fisk's. 🤣 Couldn't tell at all what he was saying until I turned on the Chinese subtitle lol Also one of the stacks of money in Marc's duffel bag is Chinese currency, which maybe implies Marc speaks Mandarin and is how Steven was able to tell Arthur was speaking Mandarin (despite his terrible accent)?

Fun Fact-Scan the QR code on the locker door, and you get a free copy of a Moon Knight comic! Can't remember where I heard that, but it works.

Another excellent episode! You should really bring up your closed captions as you're missing some important dialog. See ya next week. I'm gonna read the comic now.

The reason why Steven has a bad accent is because he is just a personality spilt off from mark. Mark is an American and basically Steven is just a split personality off of mark. So he is sounding like what presumably mark believes a British person to sound like

Another great episode. It does a great job of showing how much this split personality thing sucks for both Steven and Marc regarding the effect on their lives. We got to know Steven a lot in these 2 episodes, I'm looking forward to knowing Marc better, which looks like it will happen next. As you said, I like the way they did the mirror effect when Marc and Steven are talking to each other.

The Avengers are only a small part of marvel... with the x-men and the fantastic four coming soon, less attention will be given to the "Avengers" team, not necessarily the characters

I love how seb also makes fun of the accents from some of the actual british actors xD

I think this episode sold me hard on this show. The concept is just nuts, I'm totally hooked between the whole mind f--k that is Steven-Marc and the ideas of these avatars. I'm so curious to see more about Arthur, I'm pretty sure he's leaving out some key details about what happened with Khonshu... I'm particularly interested in his comment about Khonshu being exiled or cast out or however he put it by the other gods. Also wondering if he's Ammit's avatar and if so how it's possible that avatars can swap gods... or gods can steal each other's avatars, however that works. Also interested in who tf Layla is. We got a lot of questions answered but there are so many still! Next one's gonna be nuts set in Egypt. In any case, I'm so taken with both of their Moon Knight appearances, I think this might be one of my favorite superhero looks we've ever seen in the MCU. Both his actual suits and just his general demeanor. When he caught that crescent after the jackal dissolved I also lost my shit. He's got style.

I love that you seem to be enjoying this show as much as I am! Oscar Isaac is putting on a master class performance alternating between Steven and Marc. Between that and the insane concept for the show, I'm completely sold. It would not surprise me one bit if Moon Knight winds up being my favorite MCU show by the time we get to the finale. As you said at the beginning, hopefully the quality of the episodes doesn't waver too much, because I think these first two episodes are easily the strongest opening episodes of any MCU series so far. I'm so ready to see what Marc/Stephen and Khonshu get up to in Egypt next week!
