Nick is our king. Had such an insaneee amount of requests for this and I am so glad to start it. Not sure of the schedule but will try my best to finish it as quick as I can!

I was convinced you'd eventually watch it, I knew you'd get a lot of requests. But I'm happy you're doing it this soon. In a single episode, they manage to set up some storylines, address a few real world issues people face and, most importantly, make us get invested in the characters right away. That's a lot, it's hard to do.

I know we dislike the character of Ben, but we need to understand, that generally, this type of person is terrified of being outed by someone. He might have an abusive father (or parent) or older sibling. And as much as we dislike his behaviour, if sexual preference wasn't an issue with society, his behaviour wouldn't even happen. Again, not defending it, just trying to understand it.

I agree partially. I think the hiding part is very understandable even if hurtful for the other person and ideally should not continue. What I think makes Ben truly dislikeable is that he treats Charlie like an object, he doesn't care for him at all, he uses him for his own pleasure and drops him when he likes. That aspect of him to me anyways seems disconnected from being afraid to come out. If a guy treated a girl that way or a girl treated a guy that way, both would be pretty disgusting behaviour to me. That stuff can happen with any gender/sexuality I think. I haven't watched the rest of the show yet so maybe it comes up that Ben did actually care but I seriously doubt it with the way he acted.
