If it took me any longer to do the diary I'd have to start by saying "Merry Christmas"... damn, this is not funny!

Too much-written code? Check

Crazy last-minute ideas finished? Check

Too many hours of work and not enough sleep? Check


I'm 50% happy, why? Because I have things to show you but they are 99% finished. It means that 1% are small interface details/bugs that are still to be solved + Spanglish (a lot). That 1% is solved when I translate everything which is normally when I solve those "problems" and the rest I leave for the beta.


So I apologize in advance but it's just to show you a general idea of what I've been working on.


It's been hard days and I've lost track of time... Honestly, it's December 1st and I didn't even realize it. Many days going to sleep at 6am but everything is not to delay eternally this version because of me.

And obviously, it's my fault although everything has a "simple" explanation:

You already know that my plan is to redo the intro and the first quests. At the same time, I wanted to introduce a crafting system, someplace to farm basic materials (forest), among other things.


Although the initial idea is to redo the intro and with it give access to the forest and materials (wood and cloth) since you meet Glenda and Mona, actually it's for a more obvious reason: To create an inventory.

Yes, I wanted to create an inventory at some point in the development of the project but I've always seen it very complicated the way inventories work in other games (indie and professional) so after thinking about it and seeing that the time was approaching... I made a decision: I was going to create an inventory but in my own style. The final result is a mix between an RPGMaker inventory and a more typical sandbox one.

For some reason, there is a little lag when hiding the interface but ingame it doesn't happen. I guess it was recorded wrong.


This is the final result. There are some icons that you might recognize as I moved some of them from the general interface. In another gif you can see for a second the actual general interface but I don't want to show it because it's not final yet (icons).

The big difference for me is something I've been wanting to do: Choose your favorite girl. This way you have a summary of all the stats and quick access to the place where she is (you click and go directly to where she is). There is also a shortcut to her panel.

If it was not enough, I spent a whole day rendering animations and all the girls have animations wherever they are. I'm not 100% sure but I'm thinking about adding an animation for when they are in the bathroom if you have the fetish activated.

For every girl you can sleep within her room, you will be able to see an animation of them sleeping.


The inventory is what really took me the longest along with the minigames but luckily it's all finished and working 100%.

I'm very happy with the result of the inventory and it will be the definitive inventory for LA. Although as always may be a few tweaks here and there in the future.


As you may have noticed, now all the icons (95% of them) are either brand new or have undergone a texture change. Something that took me at least 2 whole days.

All this is one of my crazy ideas that I don't usually have because this is almost like making the game from scratch in terms of icons and other stuff but luckily the basics are already done in the code.


L'sA note: All this was thought to be implemented in L'sA and use it as an experiment but in the end, it's being the other way around and I'm experimenting in LA and then adapting it with another style in L'sA.


But I'm not going to bore you anymore with this and I'll let you investigate everything yourselves when the new version arrives. Let's move on to the next point!


I'll quickly mention the minigames, something that has given me more headaches than expected. This is where I said a few days ago that "everything looks simple and in the end, it takes a lot of work".

Currently, there are 3 new mini-games related to the jobs (in the future if I come up with new ideas I will add more).


Logging area: Accompany Glenda to the logging area to... fuck! I wish, that's less work. Accompany her to the logging area to cut down trees. But you'll be the one doing the work while she "supervises" you. A bit unfair? Well, Glenda will entertain us in four ways: Flashing boobs, topless bikini, playing with herself, or peeing. It all depends on the rng and her lvl (obviously the pee thing goes with fetish activation).

The counter might be moved to another place because it doesn't really convince me and it gets in the way of the interaction of the minigame.

Summary: A time trial minigame where you have a time limit to chop down as many trees as you can. At the end of the time, Glenda will pay you and give you a percentage of the wood you get.


Measurements: Mona gives you the opportunity to do the pure tailor's job by measuring the girls (at the moment there will be only three different ones). The girls will be naked and depending on the girl you measure, Mona will take off more or fewer clothes until she gets undressed.

Summary: A point and click minigame with no time limit but Mona will give you the instructions just before you start. Simple, isn't it?

But if you get it wrong just once...

It will give you more cloth and more gold than if you do a normal job.


Serving customers: Arwen will test your memory by making you remember without notes what customers want for breakfast/meal. There will be three types of modes depending on Alina and Arwen's level: You will be able to serve dressed, shirtless, or naked. Shirtless is an excuse for Arwen to take off her skirt... Attending naked is the most interesting mode because it is the most difficult one. Why? There is only a 1% chance of getting it right.

The summary of the latter works the same for the rest: You attend the girls and they will tell you what they want to eat and you have to remember it and then tell Arwen in the order the girls tell you. The difference is that if you do it naked you will get x2 gold and tips and Arwen will be naked. Sound good? There is very little chance that you will finish it because if the girls see you naked, which they are not used to because they don't go to Mona's shop or the beach to do nudism (future) what will happen is that they will go into "shock" and will have a crazy desire to take off their pants making them almost instantly c-um (Patreon...) when they see you naked.

The consequence of this is that they will not tell you what they want to eat and you will have to guess. In this minigame, you have 3 chances but the list is long.


If you lose in any mini-game (except Glenda's) you receive a compensatory amount for spending time with the girl. Trust or other stats are not affected, only money and materials.


I've tried to make them easy and simple but still minimally entertaining and compensate you more than if you do a normal job. Of course, the easiest is Mona and the most "complicated" might be Arwen.


With this, we move on to the last point of the night: Crafting.

I won't go into this too much as it's something usual in a sandbox game.

We have the possibility to craft different materials with their own rarity. You already know the materials, even if they have changed a bit (icons).

And Tali for the flowers:

99% final result.

Obviously, this includes some extra crafting (Mona and Glenda at the moment) for one main purpose: To make things easier, something obvious, and above all to manage the caps of things in a more entertaining way. Now having an inventory it's not necessary for me to just go around increasing the cap and putting it in the changelog. Now you can spend some time crafting things to increase caps and other things.


What other things? Maria answers that.

I thought I'd take advantage of Maria's love for painting to give her her own crafting section: Paintings.

These paintings will be from all the main girls (I'll be adding more over time) and you'll be able to put them "temporarily" in your room. The temporary thing is for obvious reasons that if in the end there are +30 paintings, imagine the size of the game if I have to make and remake all the animations/scenes that happen in the room... Between Maria and the MC, there will be a silly dialogue on the level of the two of them when they are together to justify this "temporality" thing. In the future, I would like to make an exhibition room or something similar as I would also like to derive a bit of Maria's story to her hobby of painting.


I would give you a lot more details about the crafting and everything else but I think it's a long enough diary as it is.


I hope to get back to normal diaries... Tomorrow I will update the work in progress although this time is a bit of a guideline because the next part I will work on might be 25% of the update or almost 50% and I will have to postpone extra content for the next version in order to give space to this new feature/minigame. It's something I'm really looking forward to work on because thanks to experimenting with minigames I can now consider doing this new thing through minigames and not just menus. 


I can't wait to see what I'm able to do and to tell you about it but... Well, surely when we talk about that (finishing it) we'll talk about the Captain. Oh, yes, in this version we will finally know what her real name is because I consider that the Captain is not just an "extra" girl.


I had completely forgotten to comment on this issue. I recently spoke to a creator from Koi community because I was interested in his work. After a chat, we made a deal to be able to use some of his animations. Here is the animation I want to include in LA as soon as I have time (I hope to be able to implement it at least for Glenda).

It's a raw and clipped version very little modified by me. This is something I always wanted to have implemented in LA and after seeing that someone had created this I had to try to make a deal as this will save me a lot of time. Although adjusting it to each girl is going to take a lot of time and patience. At least, the most tedious part, the animation base, is already done. I still have to test to make this definitive together with a short footjob loop. I have to do several tests but almost 100% sure that this will be implemented in LA as soon as I have some time (I give it a high priority in the list of extra content to add).
