Okay i've had some time since watching this episode....I'm still a bit pissed off ngl lmao

I understand that this season was like a set up for the final season coming out later in 2025. I get that. I just hated how we went through 7 episodes and came out with nothing at the end of it.

Out main character was being played the whole time and it just sucked to watch haha.

I still don't think this season is bad in any way. I actually enjoyed it (besides the ending). I'm hoping that in season 3 they can make up for it cause I'm shutting it off if it was all for nothing lmao

Same! even if we know that season 3 is comming we really have nothing? but i enjoy a lot the others eps, and i love some characters even more than some of the first season so, i try to think of that and not the end LOL XD Thank you sm for the reactions is was fun!

i actually really enjoyed this season. i enjoyed them playing him throughout the season and having them get nowhere 😂 i was going into this season hoping that the “squid game people” would just win and proceed and he cant do anything about it. Also, considering the fact that they already filmed season 3 at the same time, it made me feel better about the ending. (not saying this is you) but i think people overall are just comparing it to the 1st season WAY too much, when the first season will never be topped LMAO.

nah cause the ending pissed me off trulyy but I kinda get why they did it cause it makes u curious ab the next season, there's soo many ways this thing can go. As u said he was searching for them 2 years and just did this sht show like daang like was his plan truly only ab finding the guy and did he not consider other things happening. I would guess they will put him back into the games as they want him to suffer, that is why they're not killing him too. I think they should've went with it as a 2 part season thing but it might be that there'll be too many eps and they want it to be continuous so like 5-10 eps

yeah I think that the right thing to do was for them to talk about a part 1 and part 2 of season 2 so people would've expected this kind of finale. At the same time I think it is pretty ridiculous that a lot of people are calling this a completely bad season just because of that ending. If we not consider this 'not ending' the season is definetely at the same level as the first one and it's not common for a second season to be as good as the first one.

It's been...two or three days since I saw all of Squid Game 2 and man. Dong Hyuk (writer/creator) is weird as hell for that season finale. Had me fucking crying. Dong Hyuk doesn't like happy endings. Also the Season 3 won't be until sometime in 2025, yet they have not finished filming, so...it could be even longer, maybe even half of 2025 before we see any previews for S3.

I've just come to a mildly irrelevant but interesting realization. Do you remember, at the beginning of the season, when we saw the North Korean girl trying to pay someone to find her daughter? She and Gihun passed each other on the stairs outside the office, and she glanced at him as he passed. We later found out she's been participating as a pink-suit for 7 years. She recognized him from his last time in the games.

This season was good for me it wasn't the best compared to first one but it wasn't too bad but i will say season 1 characters I felt more emotional about their deaths. I think because we were able to really see their backstories more. The characters I hope make it are Geum-ja (mom) i think she's one of the characters i will feel so sad if she's dies the only reason she joined is for her son. Jo Yu-ri (the pregnant lady) i feel she might make it only because I think the front man has a soft spot for her since she's pregnant or maybe I'm wrong. Hyun-ju I'm rooting for her as well I hope she makes it so she can get her surgery. Gyeong-seok ( the little girls dad ) i really hope he survives for his daughter treatment. Jung-Bae(Gi-hun friend) i wonder if he did tell gi-hun that the front man killed that guy in the room would he have been suspicious of him then. I forgot to mention i knew that fisherman guy was in on it too . The way they couldn't find the island for the longest time. 😐

Same reaction Caitlin. It'll be good I guess if somehow we get at least some lead like if Gi-hun found out that Young-il is the Frontman during this episode at least we got a face or we knew the man behind that mask. But idk haha idk what will Season 3 gives us.

After finishing this Season, i'll just share my theories here: Detective - He will probably have a role in changing the mind of the Frontman Young-il (his brother). His goal was to find his brother. What for? We knew the dynamics of their family. That is something this character can hold on to and slap his brother's face with the reality of this truth once he see him again. Gyeong-seok (246): Father of the sick child. Probably 011 shot him but not to kill him. She knew about that black market selling of organs right? So, she prob give him another chance for 246 to fight for his life and escape by not killing him per se. I feel that 011 can't kill this man because of his kid (she may have a soft spot to that kid coz she himself is a mother and is looking for her own child). Kid of 246: I have a theory this kid is 011's child? But idk how it can be inserted in the storyline. The kid is prob just adopted or found by 246. Or maybe i'm just connecting the dots too much HAHAHA coz why did they even have a connection in the storyline, a coincidence? lol 011: Most has been said above. I just feel she has something to do with the child. Another reason for her not to kill kill the father, hostage him or idk talk to him and ask questions about the kid.

Theory 1. What if 011 reveals what the other Frontman was doing (selling organs of the players)? That may lead to a big chaos within the system of that Squid Game. Tho idk how she will do this. Player 222 (pregnant girl): I just feel Young-il frontman has a soft spot for her. With frontman's backstory and our info about what happened to his wife from his family, if something bad happens to her, idk it can affect the decisions of the Frontman, as an overseer of this entire game.

I think they still could have warned the rest of the X’s, even if they planned not to fight. At least they would have been prepared to defend themselves.

Honestly I feel you. I hated this ending. It was so frustrating. Literally a shitshow. 😭😔 I just feel like ep 1-6 plot was wasted with the way ep7 ended…..

Overall I really enjoyed this season! The ending annoyed me a little bit, but overall I really enjoyed the new characters we were introduced to and the new relationships that we saw develop I like how there was more of a focus of slowly building up certain characters instead of just running through the games as quick as the first season, it made this season feel fresher to me Idk! I don’t feel like this season was all for nothing, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can’t wait for season 3 (which I’m really glad is the final season tbh, I would hate for them to keep making these and watch the quality slowly deteriorate when it was only supposed to have one season anyway lmaooo)
