this is so fun! i've been busy so i never got around to starting this drama even though i love song kang and kim yoojung! it's my first time watching too and I've just been watching with you when you post :) i agree with you that his deal was morally questionable... i do understand his side too though. it's a give and take, like a transaction. he explains the terms and conditions, and they can decide to sign or not. it's true that he survives by exploiting the misfortunes of humans, but he also does hold up his end of the bargain, offering them something that can't be obtained otherwise and the person consents to it. but this kind of arrangement makes him a bit arrogant, i feel like sometimes he feels like he's "playing god" and thinking "humans are so greedy and ungrateful" so i really appreciate that dohee's so willing to call him out when he does things that aren't right. like obviously someone is trying to kill her so she needs his protection, but even then she never settles for anything if she's not 100% on board with it and always stays level-headed. and i think it's because of her personality that he acts differently around her, he knows he can't take advantage of her and somehow he's becoming okay with that

My view on it, is he always had that small part of him that helped humans at times (take the fisherman and the star) but we see it more often now that DoDohee is with him most often.
