This show just keeps getting better and better! I was riveted as a horrifying plot slowly came into focus. The tension never stopped increasing until the final moments that left me breathless.

I don't think in all of the time I've been following your reactions that you've ever been as angry at any character as you were with Peter for what he did. That was something else! Honestly, I'm enjoying this show more through your eyes than I did on my own. (Great jump-scare at the end as well)

When I first started I would get that angry from time to time. That is 100% why people suggested green mile to me. It hasn't happened of late because I THINK characters on shows are often more layered, or more comic booky depending on the show, plus I might be more desensitized. But give me a character that is hurting children and I hope to always be that angry.

Oh interesting re: Green Mile. Not sure if I was subscribed when you watched it - I'll have to go find it!

the interesting and also heartbreaking thing about Peter's story is that it exemplifies the phrase that "hurt people hurt people. " he went through horrific abuse as a child where he was violated by a person he trusted, and he continues to do the same thing to Miles because he doesn't know any other way to be happy. while I don't feel compassion for the adult Peter Quint, my heart breaks for Peter Quint, the child who had to endure those horrible abuses and never got the help he so desperately needed. Oliver Jackson-Cohen does a phenomenal job during that scene with Peter and his mother because there are so many emotions at play there, and you can see them clearly on his face. I'm so excited to see you react to episode 8, one of my favorite episodes of this series. I have a feeling you're going to love it.

i love the show helps us understand peter but it doesn't excuse him

Peter is a selfish cowardly manipulator... who's even worse in death. The fact that he killed Rebecca *and* abandoned her to feel it all. The polar opposite of Dani.
