I don't know how many pages I added since I last notified you, but here's some more. Most of them took a loooooooong time to do. I severely underestimated how quickly it would be done, but I suppose it's okay cos I also severely understimated how quickly the house would be done. How great, how amazing is that.

To update you on the house, if you care, well... It's hard to say how far we are into it. It's about 80% painted I guess.  The entire flooring is left. No idea how long that'll take to put down. Before that, there's some electricity to wire around. It shouldn't take too long, but again... my estimation are hardly precise, nor trustworthy. Oh yeah there's a fake ceiling to be placed up in th kitchen as well. 

Then ! Then maybe we can start moving furniture and be done with this. It's been a fucking month of going there almost everyday to do this bullshit. I thought it would have taken three weeks, but nope. A month. And it's not even done yet. It's probably going to be until february until I can finally settle down and do the stuff I want. But I'm taking tomorrow off to work on the Krampus pic so there's that. Plus i have no idea how involved I'll be from now on since I got zero expertise in what is left to do. It's possible that, as far as I'm concerned, I'm close to done. I don't know.

In any case, fuck this shit.

Now, to Disintegrity !

There were some pages that I uploaded that I'd been itching to re-do for years. The kissing one for example had me annoyed at the bottom panel in particular, the sideview of the characters looked so baddd... At the time I genuinely wasn't sure on how to draw them from the side cos I wasn't fond of long snouts. Still am not in fact, it's not something I find sexy (in non-sexy context tho it's fun enough). So that led to this weird profile they had. I just didn't want to elongate it. I loosened up since then tho, obviously. 

I should've known better too, cos one of the biggest inspiration for all this smut comics I do was one comic by Powfoo called "No Pain no Gain". I thought that comic was the hottest thing in the world and I wanted to do stuff like that. In that comic there's two characters, one I found sexy and one that I just didn't care for. The small bitchy one that takes the D (looks like I didn't invent that archetype....) had a short snout while the other one had a long one. I should have just copied the small one's nose since that worked for me instead of trying to do whatever in un-sexy ways. Oh well...

Then there's also stuff like 7 which I never particularly disliked as a page. I thought it looked nice enough. Even now I'd say it's fine taken on its own. But taken as part of a whole, Larsen just doesn't look like Larsen. That's a problem for a lot of the comic in fact. Just compare the size of Larsen's ears from the first page to the last in the OG comic. Same with Zee, compare his nose, his chin, his hair... It's just completely different. That's the problem when you take a long time to do stuff.

Finally, there's 40. Which was just middle of the road stuff. Not good, not by a long shot in fact, but also not important enough as a page to really warrant much of a redo. Well, it's redone anyway and it took a while cos there was nothing salvageable since it was all old faces. They all need to be redone.  I'd say the middle panel of OG 40 was nice enough but it's the only one that looked halfway nice. Everything else was just mediocre.

I'm happy with the redo tho, even if it's not a memorable page to begin with, cos I love Zee's expression on the first panel and Larsen's on the fourth. Zee's enthusiasm wasn't well transcribed in the OG, his eye not being open wide enough, the hair getting in the way of his facial feature, the shading making it all even less clear just sapped the fun out of the scene.

And Larsen was just blah in OG fourth panel. His head to neck ratio was nasty for one. He looked a little too stiff too, like the facial feature are barely polished. The blush, the barely visible sweat drop and the squigly lines around his head were all there to show that he was nervous but also more into it than he lets on, yet it really didn't come through all that well in the old page. He almost looks sad, really. The new one makes it a more overtly bashful. THEREFORE IT BE BETTER.

Oh yeah I also did stuff like 6 and 18, pages that require like half an hour at most to remaster. Cos there's nothing much to redo beside the hair and thinning some lines here and there.

Allright I'll stop here
