Hi Donna! About time you finally showed up. Lets' see if we can't get you in at last one more of these before the end of the month.

So this one took a while (which is kinda silly on my part since it includes such a dumb joke), mostly because I changed my mind as to who Babs and Kara were going to encounter on Themyscira. My original idea was pretty much exactly what I ended up with in the final above. But a few minutes into drawing a bunch of Amazon warriors I decided it was going to take me too long. I also wanted a large threatening sword in there for... I can't remember now. I just wanted to draw one I guess.

So I thought, "Hey! Why don't I draw Absolute Wonder Woman! She looks fun to draw! And those new books are kinda uncharted territory..." And so I made a sketchy attempt at that.

I mean, it's fine. I like my other dumb joke in there, but gosh what a lazy way to go about it. You know what, though? I know absolutely nothing about Absolute Wonder Woman (yet)! I'm not even sure she's an Amazon. I don't know if Absolute Themyscira exists in Absolute DC. And I felt bad that I didn't get Donna in one of these yet again. So, after spending a bunch of time looking up reference and scribbling AWW [oh, what a surprisingly cute acronym], I scrapped it and went back to my original Amazon warriors idea.

Which, at the risk of saying so, was worth the change. Not only because it was my original idea, but it just feels more right overall. And, even though I did scale back on the amount of Amazons I had planned (for the better, I think), I finally got the whole SBFF trio in there. Plus, still managed to draw someone with a sword.

Anyhoo, in my head cannon, this is how they all meet. :)
