BFFs and Coffee (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

After drawing mostly pinups in my free time of late, I've been wanting to tackle something a little more involved (if nothing else just to tell myself that I can still draw backgrounds for fun). I always had this little image of Babs and Kara simply sitting on some steps sharing a snack so decided to finally go ahead and draw that. It also goes nicely with my "characters excitedly raising their arms into the air" theme I have going on this week. Haha.

It took me a while to work on this; I kept nitpicking at it over the course of a few mornings and evenings. I struggled a lot figuring out their poses and over what outfits and hair styles to give them as well as making sure their positioning on the steps (which I questionably drew on a separate layer) didn't feel too off. As such, there was a lot of redrawing involved. I uploaded a couple time-lapses if you'd like to see more of that process.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with how the piece turned out. Plus it's nice to have some new art to share of Babs and Kara. Doubtful I'll ever get tired of drawing these two. :)
