I’m a broken record but Please Tony just skip the recap ep. This momentum continues into ep 28 and would otherwise come to screeching halt. A quick summary of ep 27 is that Hohenheim is dreaming about the past episodes while sharing moments with Pinako when she was younger (Winrys grandmother). He then wakes up and seemingly decides to stop sitting around and actually do things. All relevant Hohenheim information will come later he’s got a flashback dedicated to him

Emm... that's questionable why to do that. A lot of shows have such "recap" episode: Evangelion, Death Note etc. They are also part of the story anyway. And this episode with Hohenheim also important for Hohenheim as a character. Besides, I could just say "know what, 64 eps, what the hell??? just skip them and jump straight to the finale! In short, that's what gonna happen and the ending like: _massive_spoiler_ " I think that is not how it's done :)

Next episode is a filler (an episode not based on the manga generally lower quality but this filler episode is kinda touching), just letting you know. And it's the last filler episode of the whole series.

There is definitely anime for kids, just not stuff like this. As a kid, I looked forward to stuff like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon on Saturday mornings. Digimon Tamers did get pretty heavy for a kid's show towards the end though.

Actually, now I remember that they toned down Yu-Gi-Oh for the US. People play a competitive card game, and in the original there'd be conditions like, if you lose you get cut with a buzz saw or dropped off a building. In the US version, they changed all of that so the losers would get sent to another dimension instead. Even as a kid it seemed really strange though. Like, they just added a purple aura to the buzz saw and said it was a magic teleporting buzz saw instead of a normal one that would cut you 😂

Yeah, Doraemon, Beyblade, Bakugan, Cardfight Vanguard, Buddy Fight are the first animes that i watched, but at that time i was not aware of anime and just thought they were cartoons drawn with a specific art style. I think those are usuually the anime hch happen to be suitable for kids (exception to this is Hunter x Hunter, but i only watched few random episodes of one of the later arcs that was pretty child like (dont want to spoil anything)) It's only later onwards where i understood what anime was and willingly tried out them fully knowing what they were.

I forgot about Beyblade! I didn't watch that many episodes, but I did get one of the toys. Those were cool. I also forgot about Pokemon, which was (and probably still is) obviously a super popular anime for kids.
