I’m not sure how much of Season 2 you watched? But there’s some pretty engaging story and still very cool fight scenes with people getting owned. It kinda sounds like you skimmed and saw a few things you weren’t a fan of, which is perfectly fine.

I do get what people are saying in the comments (Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby) since Cowboy Bebop is a classic and considered to be a top 10 anime of all time by alot of the anime community. whereas Overlord is just a interesting above average isekai in my opinion. Hopefully Overlord wins in another poll or perhaps even follows up Cowboy Bebop
