WIP (Patreon)

I was going to get the feather hair figured out, but I did most of the body today- more later but just wanted to share a little update.

I'm hoping I can have this character done by the end of the week and start animating like, next week... I've taken several short cuts (such as using the same dick/balls as the pig character I did that I'll rig someday soon and use for something, also I reused some scalie feet I made awhile intended to be modular, scalie lizard-y/dino-y feet

3d is really nice sometimes because there are certain aspects of models that are reusable, unless you want to make unique everything on characters (sometimes it's necessary) but, for the most part, I focus more on uniqueness where it counts on characters. Stuff like the head and body. Other parts, such as hands and feet, are quite involved and complicated to model again and again and not really worth the time and effort to do from scratch for every character. Other times, I don't have a modular piece done (such as the pig hoof) so I do one from scratch but, next time I make a pig character, I'll reuse the pig hoof.

I also kind of switched up my approach to the body portion of the character this time. I wanted a character who was a bit more "toned" (with a freakin shredded up 8 pack due to a combination of a little working out, semi-healthy eating and most importantly having like single digit body fat percentage) I usually just jump right into creating a sculpt-like mesh to retopologize over, but I decided to take a more planned approach and first sketched up a rough idea of the body from the front and side:

From there, I used my usual method of creating a sculpt by building something up with basic shapes and using the re-mesh modifier to "combine" everything and give it a natural, organic form:

I'm *almost* done with it but I need to sleep and also quit slacking on my assignments -_-

I think I'll make the dino guy a *tiny* bit smaller, maybe so his eyes are lined up wit the donk's collar bone. Originally I was like "what if he was a small guy with the BIGGEST DONG!?" but idk, a less exagerrated size is nice too.
