Hey there! Thank you for being a Patron! Here's the full reaction to CHILDREN OF MEN

This is a Level 5 Patreon Tier Movie Request from Ian Forbes!

Woah. This was heavy. A very dystopian, emotional film right from the start of it, right until the end. It was even kind of scary to see a world fall apart because of this. But it was truly a well done film and I hope you enjoy the reaction!

NOTE: You follow along with your own copy of the movie; I have a little timer right at the beginning where it counts down and shows the word "play" when I myself start playing the movie. I also have a timer synced throughout the movie so you're also in sync the whole time! If you don't have your own copy, then you'll have pretty much no idea what's happening!

I checked the wiki, Last of Us apparently born from merging gameplay from the 2001 game Ico and the zombie apocalypse theme, most notably the work of George Romero but the vibe here is certainly felt in that game. This is (imho) one of the best made films in the past few decades and when I first saw it in theaters, and even now, just truly enjoy a film that develops the story and world along the way without holding our hands. The acting is top notch and the long takes (and hidden cuts to make them longer) are amazing to watch. The Hawkeye tv series did a similar shot for a car chase as the ambush scene here; and 1917 apparently had 34 cuts … but of course was also so well made that it takes ridiculous effort to spot them.

The scene of the bringing the baby out is consider one of the greatest long shot of all time.
