I try to do as much non TF art as possible, and here's some of it. I was a big fan of the UK Transformers comic as a kid. For those of you who grew up in the States, we got the same Transformers comic you did in an outsized, weekly format. To pad out the title, Marvel Uk created their own Transformers strip that fitted around the continuity of its US counterpart. A character that came out of that strip was the fearsome mechanoid bounty hunter Death's Head. Originally hired by Rodimus Prime to hunt down Galvatron, Death's Head went on a strange oddessy through time and space encountering Doctor Who, The Fantastic Four and even She-Hulk. He's one of my favourite characters, and when Image Comics started their Energon Universe -- a shared universe with Transformers and GI Joe-- I thought it would be cool to play in that toybox.

I've imagined a kind of 'Suicide Squad' for the Energon Universe led by Death's Head. Featuring Circuit Breaker (also from the TF comic), a Battle Beast and Zarana from the Dreadnoks (GI Joe).

I've been working on this very slowly since the Spring, and it's some of my favourite ever work . Back to T & A tomorrow!

Yoooo, my girl Circuit Breaker! If she just stopped being racist, she'd be 10/10.

Love it! Same vibe as "Absalom Daak, Dalek Hunter" and "Ro-Busters."

Yeah, against Cybertronians. It was kind of her whole shtick. If that joke didn't land and I actually upset you, I can remove it.

I actually have the issue where She-Hulk and Death’s Head meet up.

Zarana’s an interesting inclusion. I see you used her new 6” Classified figure as a model, especially based on her weapon. That’s one of my favorites! Nice to see something different from you—thanks for sharing!

I did indeed use pictures of that toy for reference! I don't know why I went for her-- I guess she's a cool visual and I like the 50/50 male and female dynamic of the team (uh, assuming War Weasel is a dude)

Confidente100

Thanks for showing this to us!

I wonder if Death's Head had anything to do with the creation of Deathlok?

manicart1

No-- Death's Head first appeared in (I think) 1988 and Deathlok had been around since the 70s at that point
