This is one of the best pieces of work I have ever done. A real labour of love that I am so thrilled to be finally able to share with you!

See what you can spot on the bookshelves and scattered around in the creepy shop!

First thing I saw was the Holy Hand Grenade! Also this is awesome! The vibe in the scene is so 70s Dario Argento movie vibes. Also a Halloween vibe as well

Love the “Big” reference with the Zoltar machine.

I’m also a fan of people receiving powers through mystic means too so this reworking of the story is quite awesome! Love that Diane will forever be changed just by walking in there!

The whole piece was inspired by a movie poster somebody made for the movie 'Gremlins'. When I was sketching it out, I had the old curiosity shop where the Mogwai lives in mind, so I sought out images of it for inspiration. The movie poster shows the shop as being full of 80s movie memorabilia. Bit naughty of me, but the Zoltar booth is something I lifted from it! The rest of the piece is my own work, albeit inspired by the Gremlins poster. Barbaia's bracelet is next to the potions bottle in the foreground.

This page may be the summation of a 20 plus year career!

Ian Raffaele

The coloring is amazing. This is some of the most detailed work you’ve done. I’m glad to see the finished product.

Agent Zero

a gorgeous piece. As Indy would say, "It belongs in a museum!"

Jose Almeida

Can't wait to see the rest!

Matthew Willence

I see Lion-O's sword and possibly Captain Britain's amulet.

FourinOne

That fortune telling machine from big, the necronomicon, and the holy hand grenade?

Fabulous board indeed ! From a purely technical point of view, it's probably one of your very best ever (special mention to the lighting / shadowing and cool FX effects like text transparency). However, the best aspects are undoubtly this strange and somewhat threatening atmosphere alongside the cool easter eggs (always fond of them !)... and Diane's luminous charm of course ! Can't wait to see the next board ! :)

This page was definitely a labor of love! Can’t wait to see what role our mystic stranger will play in our beloved Diane’s origin!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say that this piece looks great but I am going a little of topic here with an epiphany I just had about She Brute! The reason why I believe She Brute is a creature driven by pure blinding rage, attacking friend or foe alike is actually simple. I call it hypothalamic overdrive. You see, when Dr Rossini begins to transform/mutate, inhuman and absurd amounts of adrenaline are produced within her body. The hormone sends her hypothalamus into overdrive and causes an extreme case of sham rage that lasts for the duration of she brute's outing. That is why She Brute cannot tell friend from foe like Jenna Jones. It's a really bad case of sham rage!

A second character I find interesting is Helena Spalding from damsel not in distress. An average woman with an estimated IQ of at least 97 becomes a hulking brute with an IQ of I believe below 30 due to her not being able to communicate and struggle to understand basic commands. Much like Blockbuster Mark Desmond from DC comics. Would love to see her return!

SegaSaturn

Hands down been looking forward to this comic too for a long while, especially the part where she is sleeping sexy and is having a hard time controlling it. I love those type of transformations.

I wasn't even alive to get these references when they first appeared in media, but I've been meaning to see them in their original contexts. That said, these homages do fit into a comic involving FMG! XD

Agent00Soul

Although you are very much the FMG specialist, Manic, I would say that, from a purely artistic point of view, your specialties are the human figure, colour, and a vaguely art nouveau vibe. This page has all three is spades.
