Potential Changes (Announcement)

TL;DR: I'm currently considering delisting my $1 tier (but NOT deleting it entirely) and replacing it with a $2 tier so that less of my patrons' money is going to processing fees rather than to myself.
Hey guys, so I'm considering making a change to my Patreon that's both fairly minor, and possibly very large. Even though this won't actually effect any of you if I do it, I still want to talk about it with all of you, my current patrons, first.
First of all, I just want to reiterate, this will NOT effect any of your current pledges. Not unless you unpledge from my Patreon and then want to repledge at the base tier in the future.
But effectively, I'm considering 'unpublishing' my $1 Tier 1 and replacing it with a $2 Tier 1. For the 1200+ people currently pledged to my $1 Tier 1, this won't change anything. You should still have the same access to my Patreon as you did before, and the same voting ability. Any new base tier patrons however will have to pledge at $2 instead.
I'm considering doing this mostly because of this particular tweet chain that was linked to me a little while ago: https://twitter.com/jonathanvair/status/1127713366514913280
And also because of the information that the slideshow that person posted gives. Effectively, according to Patreon themselves, my take home earnings from a $1 pledge are $0.55-0.70 because of the minimal amount processing fees, while my take home earnings from a $2 pledge would be $1.65-1.70.
To put that into perspective, for every two $1 Tier 1 patrons I'm making $1.10-1.40 right now, less than what even a single $2 patron would give me.
Now, I have no desire to leave all of my present patrons hanging, after all you've done for me. Which is why I don't intend to delete the current $1 Tier 1, but instead just leave it unpublished so that you all can remain onboard, while newcomers pay the new $2 Tier 1.
I don't feel like I'm necessarily pricing new people out here either, because to me, it feels like the difference between $1 and $2 is pretty minimal. But I value all of your input, and while I may not let it sway me one way or the other, I still want to hear from you all.
So if you have a complex opinion on this subject, feel free to leave a comment below. If you feel like one of the two voting options I'm leaving below works instead, you can just vote.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you on this subject. Thank you for your time =)
