Heh, here we are again. This story has been through this once before, though this time is a little different.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bump that Gabriel gave to this story back around the time I had the initial Vibe Check. That said, even then it was a pretty close vote on whether to wrap up The Sleeping Dragon or not.

As it stands right now, this is to check on how we're feeling after all that time. Is The Sleeping Dragon still going strong, or is it time for something new? Has Gabriel begun to wear out her welcome or do people still appreciate what she brings to the table?

I'm not entirely sure what I would do if I did have to replace The Sleeping Dragon with a new fic, so if you do want to see a new DxD fic from me, then please leave any suggestions down below. I might end up using any that I really like.

As always, your feedback regarding this fic and any other DxD properties I might write is crucial to me. You guys are the paying customers, so if you're not happy, then I'm not happy.

Haha, my Patreon is rather large. The crowd that reads a fic like PPNG doesn't entirely overlap with the crowd that reads TSD. There's probably some overlap, but by and large they're two separate groups of readers. That said, its still early yet. Only 55 votes out of around 700+ that these Vibe Checks have been getting. Might still swing either way

I feel Gabriel has added a new big plot to the story, plus the new faction is an interesting piece that could be future explored. But whatever goes on, I'm good with.

I just it easier to read these big Patreon exclusive stories. This website sucks for reading backlog

Only the last couple chapters of each of these big Patreon Exclusive Stories are ever exclusive to Patreon though, so reading the backlog via another website is pretty much the strat. As far as navigating to the two newest chapters for any given story on this website, that's what the abbreviation tags are for. Every Patreon Exclusive has its own abbreviation tag and if you use those, you should always be able to find the two newest chapters very easily. Not saying that Patreon is fun to read on though, you're 100% right about it sucking in that regard

Then I probably did something wrong if it takes 60+ chapters to get started v.v Gotta consider the time commitment that new readers have to put in just to get caught up to the current chapter. I worry that no one new is picking up this story at this point sometimes lol. But I guess its good that the majority of its current readers are still having fun at least

The introduction of Gabriel as Issei's main wife really helped with this tbh. It feels like she's got a grand scheme lying ahead, atm it feels like we are half finished with the story I believe, the story got infinitely better when Gabriel became a larger part of it and boy, do I love her in it, she's my favorite character in this one. I loved how Issei finally got to her, and how she became basically his queen and rules alongside him. It's so refreshing and so well done that I feel like it can go on for quite a few chapters until Gabriel has accomplished what she desired for her and Issei. So in short, yeah, this one is HELLA fun, keeps getting better, and I hope it keeps going for the foreseeable future. I became a subscriber just for this one story lol. The introduction of Gabriel did wonders for it.

But yeah, the introduction of Gabriel as the main wife brought a whole new dimension to the story, I feel like she gave issei purpose finally. Her plan culminating should definitely be closer to end game of the story. It feels like it'll only end once Issei is the True Red Dragon Emperor, is top dog in the DxD universe and has amassed a massive harem of wives. Perhaps sayin "it's just getting started" wasn't right, but I should have said it definitely feels like the story is now going somewhere and we love the direction and want to see it for as long as possible

Oh I doubt it. She's been firmly established as his main wife by now. If you ever feel you're overusing Gabriel, it'd be alright to go and keep her from a few chapters until you think it's been long enough for us to miss her again. Making her an extra special treat for both Issei and the reader if you must hehe

I prefer reading stuff like it was a novel/book so I tend to wait until something is ahead by like 12-15 chapter before catching up again. I wouldn't be surprised if others are like me who drop the story when they catch up and only start reading it again after 2-3 months when a batch of chapters are out.

If this story was still floundering around with Issei having a flavor of the week girl with nothing much more to it I would have said yeah end it, but ever since Gabriel fell I actually started to get interested in this story for the plot, at the rate things are going I wouldn’t be suprised if the end of this having Issei on the empty throne of god (or hell I could see this almost being the direction Gabriel is trying to groom Issei to and the final choice when everything is revealed is weather or not Issei becomes a god)

I can see things happening to disrupt the balance of power even more so, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gabriel recognizing that Issei biggest weakness is that parts of his harem are still regular humans and as he rocks the boat in the political space that some very powerful entities might target them to get to him, hell I wouldn’t be surprised if Gabriel creates a reincarnation system for the members of his harem who are still human that don’t necessarily want to become demons and becoming fallen angels instead
