"You have no idea how annoying he is," Harley said, stabbing her fish fillet with her fork and knife, "He keeps boasting about being from the Wayne family, the world's richest family, and how he's the richest person in the world." She took a breath and continued, "He's such an impolite brat. If we weren't at school, I'd teach him a lesson."

"Don't be too upset," Kaine said, slowly separating the beans on her plate, "He's from the Wayne family, possibly an illegitimate child of Bruce Wayne. After all these years of not appearing in society, he's probably acting out to show off his connection to the famous family."

Kaine looked up at the long table across from her and said, "If this were an ordinary noble school, some would fawn over him. But this is a magic college, what use is the Wayne family here?"

"Don't underestimate them," Harley scoffed, "Don't forget there's also a college named Wayne College. Even though Director Bruce Wayne is not around, many students still want to associate with him and the Wayne family."

Kaine raised an eyebrow and looked back at the long table. To the right of the young Bruce sat two unfamiliar faces, clearly not from Rodriguez College, but from Wayne College, as indicated by their collar styles.

These students were not much older, probably just over ten years old, while Bruce, who looked to be around eight or nine, seemed much younger in comparison, possibly due to his adorable appearance.

It was evident that these older children were fawning over young Bruce, constantly trying to strike up conversations. Bruce, with his arrogant demeanor, responded half-heartedly, his gaze shifting between Barry and the other freshmen.

"It's not entirely true that wealth and power have no influence in the magic world," Miss Spencer spoke up, "If my family weren't wealthy, I wouldn't have chosen to study theoretical magic. Similarly, the Wayne family's background allows young Wayne to pursue magic without a care in the world."

"And sorcerers are still people," she continued, "They will eventually return to regular society. Building a good relationship with the Waynes will ensure a smooth transition back to normal life. Smart people understand this, and there will always be those who want to curry favor with him."

Kaine sighed and shook her head, "Honestly, with the Wayne family's upbringing, I wouldn't expect this behavior. How did he turn out like this?"

"I asked him," Harley said, pausing for a moment as she cut her food, "His parents passed away about two years ago, and now he's living with just a butler. I suspect he enrolled here to find a way to resurrect his parents, even though he knows it's probably a long shot."

"His behavior does seem unusual," Miss Spencer observed, glancing at the situation across the table, "I can only wish him luck."

"You fools! You country bumpkins elected a class leader without my permission. I can't believe how stupid you are. And you, Mr... what's your name again? Oh, never mind. You, Mr. Poor, do you really think you're their savior?"

Young Bruce's face was filled with scorn as he looked up at Barry with a challenging gaze. Barry pursed his lips and said, "I'm glad you've appointed yourself as the Devil King, but let me tell you, no one here is afraid of you. You're alone, and we are united."

"Hmph," Young Bruce smirked, letting out a few mocking laughs, "Fools remain fools even when they stick together, and poor people claiming to be unafraid of me? That's the funniest joke I've heard all year!"

"Regardless of what you say, I'm the class leader now," Barry said, "If you don't listen to me, I'll have you sent to detention. And Mr. Wayne, your backer isn't here at the college right now."

"Who said he's my backer?!" Young Bruce exclaimed, his voice turning sharp, "There's only one Bruce Wayne in this world, and that's me! Those imposters are as foolish as you, and I'll make them pay!"

The other children couldn't understand what was going on. They assumed that this young Bruce Wayne was a close relative or an illegitimate child of Director Wayne, as it was common in Western culture for family members to share the same name, often with 'Junior' or 'Senior' added for distinction.

Currently, everyone referred to the young Bruce Wayne as 'Little Bruce', indicating their lack of recognition. If they truly acknowledged him, they would call Director Wayne 'Old Bruce'.

Little Bruce's behavior resembled that of a love-deprived illegitimate child seeking attention from his father, so no one took his words seriously.

However, as Miss Spencer pointed out, the Wayne family's reputation was immense, and there was no shortage of people willing to flatter them. Some even admired this arrogant attitude, mistaking it for charisma, rudeness for attitude, and lack of manners for being interesting.

These people often felt disrespected in their daily lives and fantasized about a day when they could trample others underfoot. When they encountered someone from a higher social class with a similar personality, they idolized them, even going to great lengths to pursue them.

While Wayne College had its fair share of hardworking managers, it also attracted many self-proclaimed socialites who believed in shortcuts. They thought that by controlling people, they could control resources, and thus, networking was their top priority.

These individuals were the most susceptible to becoming followers of someone like young Bruce. Sure enough, he had already acquired three lackeys, all older than him, who were hanging on his every word after only a brief acquaintance.

"The food here is so greasy it makes me sick," Young Bruce complained, looking at the chicken leg he had picked apart, "Even that annoying butler never made such disgusting food. The chef here should be executed."

"And this house, it's big but empty and messy, with no sense of style. And this hideous uniform, I can't wear it for more than a few hours a day!"

Barry threw his fork onto his plate, making a loud clatter that immediately caught the attention of all the freshmen eating nearby, some of whom had food still in their mouths.

"I'm warning you, Bruce Wayne," Barry said, "Wearing the uniform is a mandatory rule, and so far, no one has broken it. It's a matter of honor, and if you dare to break it, you'll be disgracing all of us."

You guys actually have the face to lose, don't make me laugh to death." Little Bruce also put down his cutlery, hugged his arms and said, "Is it fun to be chased around like a group of quails? Oh my god, how could I ask such a stupid question, aren't you guys like this every day?!"

"No opinions of your own, following the crowd, and shouting whatever others say. The stuff in your heads is even greasier than this dish!"

Barry took a deep breath and clenched his fists, but in the end, he loosened his grip. He glared at Bruce with the most vicious and cold expression he could muster and said, "I don't care what you say, but if you dare to break the school rules in your actions, I will definitely put you in detention, no matter how many lackeys you have."

"Then I'm going to change out of my uniform now and take a stroll in the big garden. What are you going to do about it?" Little Bruce flashed a nasty smile at Barry and said, "You're as annoying as that damn butler. You guys can just stay here and fill your greasy brains with this greasy food. Goodbye!"

After saying this, Little Bruce jumped off the chair, landed on the magical air current, and took off his uniform jacket to cover his head before walking out of the church door. Underneath the jacket, he wasn't wearing the uniform shirt but the shirt from his previous suit.

"He's going to get a demerit, and we probably won't escape either," Kaine sighed, looking at Little Bruce's departing figure. "The record up to today is still broken. I hope the Professor doesn't get angry."

"He may not get angry," Harley cut a piece of bread and said as she put it in her mouth. "He could put up with that big Bruce Wayne, so what's the problem with this?"

"What do you mean?" Kaine asked curiously, struggling to cut the shrimp on his plate with a knife and fork, leaning over to ask Harley. He knew that Harley was acquainted with Professor Schiller in real life, so he wanted to understand what kind of person the Professor was in private.

Before coming to school, his parents had instructed him to build a good relationship with the Professor. Even if he couldn't please him, he must not offend him. However, most people only had a vague idea of the Professor's achievements and didn't know the details. Meeting someone who knew the inside story, how could he not ask?

Miss Spencer and the Lawrence family beside her perked up their ears. Harley was happy to receive this extra attention and smiled triumphantly. "You guys don't know how the Professor and his outstanding graduate, Bruce Wayne, have been through these past four years. Oh, no, it's been more than four years, six years to be exact."

"Come on, tell us, we're curious."

On the other side, Little Bruce, furious, left the canteen and rushed back to the dormitory entrance, wearing his uniform jacket. By the time he stepped onto the first step, no raindrops fell on him. So, with a hint of anger, he crumpled the uniform jacket into a ball and threw it on the ground. A bespectacled lackey, looking very gentle, hurriedly picked it up, caught up with him, and said, "Mr. Wayne, there's only one set of uniforms, and they won't be reissued if lost. You'd better..."

"Who wants to wear such a clumsy and ugly outfit?" Little Bruce looked back disdainfully as he walked quickly forward. "Don't let me hear you say such stupid things again, or you're fired!"

"But the school rules..."

"What school rules? If I haven't heard of them, they don't exist!"

"Okay, but..." Another person behind him stepped forward and said, "There's one rule you should listen to. The second room at the end of the fourth floor of the main castle is very dangerous. You must not go there. If something happens to you, Old Mr. Wayne will be very sad."

Originally, this was just a routine flattery used by these lackeys. On the one hand, it expressed concern for Little Bruce's safety, and on the other hand, calling the Wayne Director 'Old Mr. Wayne' made Little Bruce seem more important. These were all smooth tactics used by these opportunists.

Unexpectedly, Little Bruce actually stopped in his tracks. His eyes, like sapphires, spun around with interest, and he turned back with great curiosity and asked, "Dangerous? What kind of danger?"

"I don't know, but I heard from a senior who cleans on the fourth floor that there are some very dangerous things stored there. It's said to be the Energy Core of the Magic Defense Network under construction."

"Energy Core? What's that?"

"It's said... to be an exceptionally powerful Magic Stone!"
