Thank you everyone for your continued support!

I'm in the process of uploading part 1 of the cloak freehand video. Part 2 will be up in a few days. It will be posted tomorrow.

I managed to acquire a cold at the Golden Demon painting competition, so I am running a little slowly, but hopefully you will still be able to understand what I am saying!

Good news! I have managed to finally convince my broadband supplier to give me fibre, which will be connected in a couple of weeks. This means I will be able to increase my video output. Also, I am considering tweaking my pledge levels to be able to add some live video streaming options for you in the New Year. The specifics haven't been decided yet.

One final note, the next big project for Patreon will be Mortarion, primarch of the Death Guard. This is a massive model and will be my entry for the Golden Demon Classic next year. As it is such a big project I do not want you all to get bored with me just painting one thing; to counter that I will be fitting in smaller projects in between.  A few possibilities include a tabletop Death Guard model, a Blood Angel Primaris marine, A non metallic metal Sigmarite, a non-GW bust and whatever else I think of. I'll try to make it as varied as possible.

Before I go, on the Mortarion model I am converting the wings to be able to paint freehand onto them. This means I am cutting off all of the veins etc. and sanding them smooth. Would people be interested in the process for this?

Kind regards,

Richard

The bases on these look great, any quick tips or materials suggestions?

Get well soon! I’d look forward to those projects in between, especially the Primaris and the Sigmar unit!

My advice is to get some Cork Bark. It is fantastic stuff and makes a nice base with little effort. I then use sand and pva to fill in gaps and create ground areas. The Cork Bark can be painted using watered down Scale 75 paints and a small amount of dry brushing. The matte finish of the Scale 75 paints look more natural.

Thank you! I haven't painted a Primaris yet so I think it will be quite exciting. I want to have my own variation on the style :D
