Hi fam!

We have another episode of Star Trek TOS today. Today's episode is And the Children Shall Lead. This episode was trippy! Our crew respond to a distress call from the planet Triacus and found that all the adults are deceased while their children are happily playing not reacting to the devasting events that have occurred. Kirk brings them up to the Enterprise and things start being HELLA WEIRD!! I can't wait to hear what you guys think of this one! It was certainly different! 😂

Xoxo,

I'm not sure I'd agree it was different - it felt like a sort of cross between Charlie X and Miri. Nonetheless, this is one of the most memorable episodes for me,because I very clearly remember watching it when I was 8 or so, and being terrified at the scenes of Uhura seeing herself as an old withered creature! For me,the most enjoyable element is getting to see all our favourite characters having some good scenes. Sulu, Uhura, Chekov; even Nurse Chapell - they're all here. :) Trivia Time: Gorgan was played by a (at the time) well known celebrity lawyer. Apparently the reason he's all blurry and green was that Gene Roddenberry was appalled at his lack of acting talent, and ordered things to be done in post-production to make him feel scarier :D

Yeah…this is notoriously known as one of the worst episodes, if not THE worst episode. Definitely not a highlight. For being a product of the 60s though, it’s still mad creepy and weird AF watching it today.
