Aloha, Patrons!

I'm back from an amazing time Down Under (thank you, Sydney friends!!). Next up - Mighty Uke Day in Michigan!!

Mighty Uke Day will be my only uke festival appearance this year, so I'm excited to see Patrons at this event!

When I performed at Mighty Uke Day back in 2018, our Patreon Community Managers put together a lovely jam and hang out just for Patrons. I will have to dig up those photos and start creating an archive of Patron gatherings! (This is not my strong suit, so perhaps we can assign someone to be the "archivist" to document upcoming Patron events).

My favorite part of these events is when names online and faces you've seen on video become people you know and jam with in real life. Here are the plans so far for gathering at MUD:

  • Friday dinner - Ken Freestone is helping to organize a group dinner for Patrons near the hotel. Comment if you're interested! Find Ken on facebook or IG. If you're planning to come and want to help coordinate the group, that'd be great.

  • Friday after the concert - I'm sure there will be a late night jam at the hotel. Maybe we can do a group video this night? Maybe on "Losing My Religion"? We can discuss at dinner.

  • Saturday lunchtime jam - I'm leading a free jam on the public stage, and I could use some backup! If you're a strong player/singer, plan on joining me (but be sure to watch and follow me for tempo 😂).

I am so very excited about Mighty Uke Day events! I think I was firsr in line to get tickets. LOL! Bought my first ukulele (a Cynthia Linn) when I started playing in August 2022. I now lead a group of 40 in Roscommon, Michigan, and a group of 20 in Miramar Beach, Florida. Thanks for your tutorials, enthusiasm, and love.
