He's My Friend Now

Tom turns to his sister as the doorbell rings, “Ellie, he’s my friend and we are going to play together in my room.”

Ellie, Tom’s younger sister, frowns hard and stamps down a single foot. “Why won’t you let me play!?”

Tom, who stands at the door to answer it, looks back over his shoulder and sticks out his tongue. “Cos you’re a girl,” he answers with childish spite. “Jay doesn’t wanna do ‘girly’ things with you.”

Ellie pouts, and tears mist her eyes. Allowing her hair to fall in front of her eyes, to hide her pain, she hopes Tom will change his mind. Jay, who is in Tom’s class, steps inside and greets them both with a warm smile as Tom opens the door for him.

Before Ellie can even respond, Tom ushers Jay upstairs to his room, leaving Ellie all alone and without anyone to play with. Hearing them laugh as they play together, Ellie can’t help but feel jealous. She steps into the kitchen, hoping her Mother will help.

“Mum….?” Ellie whimpers and pretends to cry. “Tom won’t let me join in!”

Ellie’s Mom, who stands at the sink, looks down at her daughter. “Oh,” she replies in thought. “Do you want me to invite one of your little friends from school over?”

Ellie turns up her nose at the idea. “No,” she answers. “I don’t have any friends.”

Ellie’s Mom stops washing up, dries her hands, and then kneels down in front of her daughter. “Oh, sweetheart,” he says, comforting her daughter with a hug. “Come on—let’s go ask Tom if he’ll let you play too.”

Instantly, Ellie’s coccidial tears disappear, and she’s excited again. She pushes away from her Mother's embrace and bounces on the spot. “Thanks, Mum!”

Knocking on Tom’s bedroom door, Ellie stands beside her Mother with a smug grin on her face as Tom and Jay are playing cars on the floor. “Boys…,” Ellie’s Mother says lightly. “Can Ellie join in with your game?”

Tom looks up, and at first, his expression is angry, but he quickly forces a smile. “Sure, Mum,” he says sickly sweetly, lying to her. Ellie is then pushed into the room by her Mother as she closes the door behind them. “Have fun, sweethearts.”

As the door closes, Ellie is left standing at the door, feeling a little nervous. Tom’s expression doesn’t make her think he wants to play nice. She doesn’t mind doing boy stuff. She just wants to be involved and not lonely.

“I don’t mind if she plats,” Jay says through the silence of a sibling rivalry. “She can be the fire engine.”

“No,” Tom snaps back, getting to his feet to intimidate Ellie by standing over her. Standing a few feet taller, he looks down at her with an angry frown. “Why do you always have to ruin my fun?”

Ellie fiddles with her fingers for a second before looking up to answer. “I-I-I just wanna play.”

Tom scoffs at her reply. “We don’t wanna play dress up, Ellie. We wanna do BOY things.” Tom then puts one hand on her forward and shoves her backward. “Go get your own friends, you little freak.”

Ellie falls to her backside. Tom just laughs as he turns away. Ellie has to stop herself from crying. Ever since she can remember, Ellie has been different from the other girls and boys in her class. She’s had powers that she can’t explain and struggles to control. Powers that make people scared of her.

“Get M-My own f-friends…?” Ellie asks with a whimper, brushing hair from her eyes as she glares at the back of her brother's face. “Okay then!” Ellie lifts a single hand above her head, and her brother knows exactly what it means.

“Ellie!” he screeches, backing away with his hands up. “You promised Mum and Dad you wouldn’t use your magic in the house!”

Ignoring her brother, Ellie looks at Jay, and she smirks. “Jay…,” Ellie giggles and clicks her fingers. “You’re going to be my new little friend.”

At first, nothing happens, and Jay looks at both Tom and Ellie in utter confusion, but after a few seconds, a soft pink glow forms around Jay’s body. “What’s happening to me?” Jay asks, standing up as his entire body begins to tingle.

Tom glares in Ellie’s direction, but Ellie can only stare in Jay’s direction with curious amusement.

In front of her, Jay begins to transform. Being tall for his age, Jay is mortified as his body begins to shrink. He looks all around him in terror as his feet, legs, body, and hands all begin to deflate like he’s a balloon.

His blonde hair, which was already long for a boy, begins to grow at an incredible rate. Hair that is just as long and glossy as Ellie’s swaps his face, making it hard for him to see. Jay fights as best he can to get the hairs from his face, but something causes him to stop dead in fright.

Through the long girly hair covering his face, he stares at Ellie as his status as a boy is put into question. “It’s going back inside…!?” he states in fear.

Ellie giggles, watching Tom’s friend turn into a little girl of her age in front of her very eyes. “I like this part.”

“What have you done to him!” Tom shrieks, staring at his friend whose clothes hang from his body and whose long golden hair covers his face.

“I made myself a friend who will wanna do girly stuff,” Ellie replies as she gets to her feet. Slowly moving over to Jay, who’s just staring down between his legs and holding up his now ill-fitting trousers with one hand, Ellie stands beside him. “Come on, Jay,” she says softly. “I’ve got some clothes you can wear that will fit your new look.”

Jay doesn’t react. He’s frozen solid as he tries to come to terms with the fact he’s now a little girl and no longer a boy.

“Come,” Ellie says again, moving hair from Jay’s face with one finger and tucking it behind his ears. “I won’t make you wear one of my dresses, but I’ve got other cute clothes you can borrow.”

“Turn him back into a boy!” Tom shouts but is instantly scared as Ellie glares back.

“You should have let me play,” Ellie remarks, leading. Jay toward the door. “Don’t look so worried, Tom. I’ll change him back when it’s time to go home.” She then looks back at Jay, who’s following behind, desperately clinging to the clothes that hang from his little frame. “You’re going to be a good girl, right, Jasmine?”

Jay says nothing. He does what he’s told and follows Ellie into her room. Everything seems so much bigger to him now. He feels so vulnerable in his new girly body.

“So, new friend,” Ellie says, letting go of Jay’s hand. “All my clothes should fit you because I turned you into a girl that’s my age. So, what do you wanna wear?”

Jay looks around Elle’s bedroom and at all the pink and purple surrounding him. Pretty bows and dresses hang in her closet, and Jay doesn’t know what to say.

Ellie takes things into her control. She can tell her brother's best friend, turned little girl, is struggling in the deep end. She takes hold of his hand, still holding up his trousers, and takes it away with ease. “Let’s get you undressed out of those sill boys clothes first.”

Jay’s trousers and underwear fall to the floor around his ankles. For the first time in his life, the cool air tickles his new bits, and he wants to freak out.

“Don’t be scared, Jasmine,” Ellie says in a motherly manner. “We’re going to have fun.”

Ellie then grabs Jay’s t-shirt and lifts it easily over his head. Long hair splays around, and once again, Jay can’t see anything. He doesn’t mind too much as his long hair is the only thing covering his naked, scrawny body.

“Cute,” Ellie compliments, knowing her transformations are getting stronger each and every time she does it.

Jay shivers.

“Aww,” Ellie turns around to grab some of her underwear from her drawer. “Quick, put these on.” Ellie hands Jay a pair of pink briefs with a pretty pink boy.

Jay looks at Ellie’s underwear and gulps down. Wearing her clothes wasn’t what he had in mind when he decided to come over. However, he’s desperate to cover up as quickly as possible. Reluctantly, he slides the soft, girly underwear up his legs and tries to ignore the fact it clings to his body so very tight.

“So, what do you wanna wear?” Ellie asks, standing at her open wardrobe

Moving hair from his eyes, Jay looks at the clothes hanging, and he doesn’t want to wear any of them. Looking away, he sees Ellie’s Pjs sitting on her bed, and he quickly points at them. Ellie spins to look. “Oh,” she smiles. “Okay. I like those.”

Ellie passes Jay the pink, fluffy PJs. Jay quickly snatches at them and gets dressed very quickly. He’s awkward at first as he looks down at himself wearing Ellie’s clothes, but he is happier now he’s not naked.

Ellie grabs a hairbrush and starts to brush out Jay’s hair. “You’re cute as a girl,” Ellie says, running the brush through Jay’s long hair. “Once I’m done with your hair, do you wanna play dolls or maybe dress up? I’ve got makeup, too. We could do that.”

“M-Makeup…?” Jay asks, recoiling at the sound of his girly-sounding voice.

“Yes,” Ellie beams, brushing hair away from his eyes. “We’re both girls. So we can do girly things, can’t we?”

Before Jay answers, Ellie puts a single clip in his hair to hold it back from his face. She then stares into his eyes with a big smile, waiting for his answer. She’s so very pleased with how adorable Jay has become, from his slightly shorter body to his button nose and bright blue eyes.

“I wanna play cars,” Jay answers, blushing as he looks away.

Ellie looks at the little girl before her, stunned. “W-What…?”

Going even bright red, Jay covers his face with one hand and doesn’t want to look Ellie in the eye, fearing that she might change him further.

“You want to play cars?” Ellie asks, looking for clarity. “But, you’re a girl now,” Ellie continues, touching Jay’s long hair. “Don’t you wanna do girly things!? We could play house, and you could be the mummy, Jay. Doesn’t that sound so much more fun!?”

Jay looks down at his girly body and frowns. Yes, he has a girl’s body, but he doesn’t want to do those things. “I don’t wanna be a mummy,” he answers, whisper quiet. “I wanna play cars.”

Ellie folds her arms tight and tuts. “Fine,” she grumbles. “If we play cars—can I play too?”

Jay looks up at Ellie to see her looking annoyed. “I-I….,” Jay stutters, now so shy and timid. “I’d like you to play,” he eventually tells her. He then touches his hair and touches the clothes he’s borrowing from Ellie. “But, do you think Tom will want to play with me now that I’m a girl?”

Jay starts to look a little sad. Ellie begins to see herself in the young girl standing before her. She begins to feel bad for what she’s forced upon him in frustration.

“Let’s go ask,” Ellie says, full of confidence as she grabs hold of Jay’s hand. “If he says no, I’ll change his mind.”

Ellie drags Jay back into her brother's room. Tom is shocked as he looks at his best friend, wearing his sister's clothes, looking so very bashful. Standing over them both, Jay can’t bring himself to look up at his friend as he now towers over him.

“We wanna play cars,” Ellie demands and points at Tom. “You are going to let us girls play, or else!”

Tom shakes his head and points at his friend. “Cars is a boy’s game, Ellie,” Tom states. “I can’t play cars with two little girls! Maybe change Tom back.”

Jay begins to get a little upset. He’s a boy. Not a girl!

“Cars is a girl's game, too!” Ellie shouts, lifting her hand again to click her fingers.

Tom can see the look in his sister's eyes, and he begins to back away. “Ellie…,” he whines. “Please, no.”

Ellie clicks her fingers once again, and the same glow that surrounds Jay surrounds Tom. Ellie giggles and looks at Jay with a big smile. “Don’t worry, Jasmine,” she beams. “Tom is about to be a girl, just like us!”

Jay’s eyes grow wide as Tom begins to shrink in front of his eyes.

“Once he’s wearing one of my dresses, do you wanna play cars together, Jasmine?”

“Y-Yeah….,” Jay answers, mystified as his friend disappears behind long hair, just like his sisters.

“Awesome!” Ellie claps with excitement. “I’m so glad you're my friend now, Jasmine!”

Wow her brother is so dumb, saying no is both so horrible to his friend who he knows was amab, also he knows what his sister can and probably will do! Perhaps he secretly wants to play with makeup.. she should twin him with herself then perhaps change herself into him later!

Great thought. I didn't him to be stereotypically scared of her. (But I guess in reality - he probably would have been)

I think if you were tring to show the brother was not afraid of his sister, perhaps by indicate he had just tricked her into also transforming him for solidarity with his friend. Then indicate his has a stock of "tomboy" clothes he keeps for times like this and after jay has got comfortable they can play cars without his sister!
