Crowdfunding a hentai Doujinshi? (Patreon)

Well, after a heavy period of loss of focus, self doubt, aversion to commitment and procrastination I have finally decided to launch the project. (kind of)...

After a good amount of time trying to think about how to finance the whole operation I came to the conclusion that using some crowdfunding page like Kickstarter could be the solution to my dilemma.

I have talked with some friends who have already published comics in this way and apparently the standards for success are low enough that even someone like me could potentially achieve their goal.

Maybe some of you are wondering, why not just bitting the bullet and create all the work by myself...?

Well, I decided since quite some time that I would turn this into a kind of marketing exercise / challenge. I surely love my work enough to create something just for the simple pleasure of creating, but the truth is that a certain part of the artist's lifestyle also involves self-reliance and the ability to create commercially viable products.

If I wish to leave my current job any time soon and start a career as an independent artist, it would be best to start as soon as possible.
