Damn, so apparently I bit off more than I could chew on this page. (I refer only specifically to the first panel)...

As you all know, I am basing all these scenes on photographic references in order to practice anatomy. I think that without a doubt it would have been much easier to take references from the drawings of some other artists, but the truth is that I want to develop my own "sense of anatomy". (Anatomical style?)

This certainly looks better than anything I could have drawn without using references, but I'm also not completely satisfied with the way I translated the actual body shapes into the more simplified forms of anime anatomy...__φ(．．;)

So yeah, this pose was a huge challenge and it really came back to bite me for trying to move too fast...

This page was going to be another 3 panel page, but I spent so much time working only on Mami that I had to change the layout of the page to accommodate only two figures. Also, I had to choose a much simpler pose for Yoko to save some time...

It still needs a lot more work, so I will have to do my best to improve as much as possible before moving on to the final lineart.

Although, as a final word I really have to say that I am very excited to be able to work with this kind of really crazy poses.

This is the kind of challenge that I was missing while working on commissions...!
