Recently I've been ditching putting highlights everywhere in my drawings... ✨

It has cost me a lot of work to break this bad habit since I am a fan of unnecessary detail. Looking at my previous work I can't help but notice that everything has a bit of a plastic and unnatural feel to it due to the large amount of highlights unnecessarily thrown everywhere.

Now I'm focusing more on textures and contrast, I think this is the best way to achieve a well finished look without the need to overblow the highlights...(￣∀￣)┌
