The description of people who have degenerated into a race of grey, featureless cavern dwellers puts me in mind of the Morlocks, particularly as depicted in the 1960 film version of 'The War of the Worlds'. Do you think that there might be a link between the two? Impossible to prove what might have been in the mind of the Bodak creator of course.
