Purple Land of the Cat, pt. 1 (Patreon)

Dear heroes,

Welcome to the edge of civilization! This one, well, it's been demanding as writing goes. As I work through the lands, I'm stitching them together, so characters and factions have something to say about one another. It's interesting, but takes a while ..

Still! It's Friday now and even this first part is nice and 10 pages long. And, as a small bonus, a short story about a fixer clan in the Purple uplands, the treat.

Patreon's AI flagged that story as potentially prontoglaphic, which ... is very weird ... because the only things described in great detail are ... uh ... plants? And a creepy clan? Anyway, that's why it's a PDF now.

OK! I'm keeping this one short. The attachments are long enough!

Next week I'm going to post a poll, because it feels like I need to fine-tune the "posting unit". As I work on multiple parts of the book at once, I'm getting into the trap of "I don't want to make a post until a thing is finished, but this thing is now 20 pages, oh dear what is going on?!?!"

However, then as more time passes since the last post, I start to feel uncomfortable about posting smaller things that are finished, like a spread of travel mechanics or a sub-location from another Land, or even just some pretty art for your wallpapers.

Then we end up with a post like this: 10 pages of book, a wallpaper, and a story all at once.

I think I'm going to need your help, good heroes, to rebalance things!

Right. Also some other big news coming soon. Nothing bad, promise!
