Dear heroes,

Here is an unusual little post.

I've dabbled with designing typefaces for ages, but never actually made a proper font because all the software seemed incredibly arcane and complex. Well, in a fit of baby-haze, unable to write, I drew most of this font in Illustrator and decided to try and turn it into a font again. First I tried the "recommended free font software" - Font Forge - and bounced hard. It was truly not the kind of environment I like to work in. But then I tried a piece of software called Glyphs (specifically Glyphs Mini) and I just fell into this soothing zone, where it was actively relaxing setting up the little glyphs, fiddling with the little ligatures, and whatnot.

So, from a hand-lettered title font for the OGA book ... I ended up creating a whole font.

It's attached. Feel free to use it for your own projects — consider your patreonage your fee for the font's commercial license :)

Enjoy!

PS - wanted to include some more art in the post, but something with the patreon interface is flakey today, so ... yeah. Attachments.
