T-7 Days & Footers & Coup (Patreon)

Dear Heroes & Welcome Watchers,

I'd planned to have the next location of TSKNS ready today, but ... this week, dangit, this week.

First, I hope you enjoy the little scenes that are going to do the work of footer corner art in the Vastlands Guidebook. Each chapter is going to suffer the indignity of a different illustration, giving the reader (you, I hope) a quick way to figure out where they is at [sic]. They're pretty fun and relaxing to do, but ... well, I think they're going to be a little tiny in their final position, so here they are in more detail.

Second, it's seven days to go till the second child's planned day of arrival. Today we had the last checkup and all continues well. My goodness, but the time has flown this time round. Not least because of first child and hound. I'll be real—it can be hard to draw while a giggling toddler attempts to scale the table and hunt screensaver fish in the glowing glass.

Third, the president of South Korea attempted to carry out a coup during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. An autogolpe. Crazy stuff. We're all ok, but the choppers in the air and the flood of news and events over the last couple of days. Woof. Anyway, if all goes well, president Yoon should be impeached for treason soon and thus removed from office. The prime minister will take over and new presidential elections held. It might take a few more weeks before the constitutional court sentences the current president who tried to carry out the putsch, but then he'll likely be in prison and that will be that. Still, again, quite crazy.

I think I'm going to have a new big update soon—meanwhile over for the backerkit, the VLG is coming together, so ... I'm not going to promise 100%, but it might be finished with layout and editing and just waiting on some final spot art / art polishing before Christmas.

Unless, of course, coup or birthing challenges or meteor strikes or some other completely unexpected thing.
