Unfortunately it's impossible to convey in a flat video the sense of grandeur that you get from playing an exquisitely beautiful game like Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree in VR. The epic size of everything, from giant monsters to castles, to mountains, to the Tree itself; the incredible feeling that the world around you is real.

Yet somehow Ian Higton manages to do just that. Please like and subscribe, if you haven't done that yet, because VR needs amazing communicators and evangelists like Ian in order to survive the indifference of the "mainstream".

By the way, this DLC has been criticized by some as being too difficult, with excessively tough bosses. It might be, although my personal opinion is that FromSoftware is perfectly entitled to make their games as hard as they please. After all, it's not like there's a shortage of spoon-feeding dumbed-down games out there :-)

But in case you want to take it easy, remember that my mod can also be used in tourist mode (as also showcased by Ian in the video) for harmless exploration, or with time slowed down, to rehearse and study the techniques needed to defeat the bosses... Or you can put it in first person, to dial both the immersion and the difficulty of combat up to 11!

Shadow Of The Erdtree VR Gameplay Is IMPOSSIBLY BEAUTIFUL OMG! Ian's VR Corner

Join Ian Higton for a quick spot of virtual tourism as he checks out the starting area of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree in VR using Luke Ross' REAL VR mod for Elden Ring! This episode of VR Corner features a lot of sight seeing and Ian gushing over how beautiful the Lands of Shadow are, so if you'd like to see a grown man get emotional about graphics, this is the place to be! Apologies for the slightly rough and ready episode this week - access to the mod came in late (like Friday morning) and Ian had to capture and edit this, plus do a site post AND go on a VG247 podcast all in one day. Lol thank f it's the weekend :D Luke Ross' REAL VR mod can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/realvr Become a Team Eurogamer member: https://youtube.com/eurogamer/join Subscribe to Eurogamer - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=eurogamer For the latest video game reviews, news and analysis, check out http://www.eurogamer.net and don't forget to follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/eurogamer

Well, of course you can have access to the VR mod :) Just download the latest version from this link https://www.patreon.com/posts/horizon-west-and-107402095 If you are having trouble getting it working, you will have to give me some information to work off of. First go and read the games release post for install instructions and make sure you drop the REAL mod files into the correct game folder, where the games .exe file is located. Make sure it is the correct .exe file as some games have more than one because they have a launcher, the correct one will have a much larger file size. For instance, Cyberpunk would be: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 Even though there is a .exe file in the main folder the actual one that launches the game is in the x64 folder. Then run the Realconfig.bat file and it should install the mod. If you get an error when you run the config file please let me know what it says. If it installs correctly and it just doesn't work for you when you run the game, please put a copy of your RealVR64.log file on pastebin and post the link to it here. The log file will be in the same game folder that you put the REAL files in. If you are having some other kind of issue, please explain in more detail.
