Eren hadn't dissolved yet that's probably why the titan that ate him didn't go to normal.

Yeah even if Conny’s mom didn’t exactly chew him, Armin still would’ve been dissolved by the stomach acid, and Conny’s mom would’ve turned back to normal. It’s the same for Eren. He didn’t get completely chewed like Porco did by Falco, but he was dissolving in the stomach acid. He unconsciously turned into a Titan inside that Titan’s belly, saving his life

Also shifters can control when they transform under pain. If Armin didn’t want to turn, he wouldn’t have turned and been eaten.

It's not about being a rookie. Armin was willing to die to save Falco and prevent Connie from crossing that line. So basically had Connie done nothing. Armin would have stayed in there, dissolved, and Connie 's mom would have become the new Collosal.

I think it’s more about the spinal fluid instead of dissolving. In season one, they mentioned titans don’t actually digest the people they eat, they just vomit up the bodies into a large ball once they are full and then they find more people to eat.

I love the moment when Connie tells Reiner that they’re going to save the world, you can actually see all 4 titans that were sent to Paradis years ago with the exact mission: Colossal, Armored,Female, and Jaw

because I was a fan of the show, the show is declining in quality, the last couple episodes have been bad, when you like something and it starts turning into something else, you should say something instead of accepting it
